"It's possible to get free BT line installation; this is a massive saving as usually it would set you back £124.99. This applies to new lines, reconnections or even having second lines fitted and isn't dependant on already having a master socket."

Ah,just had a thought. Does a second line have a different telephone number? Does anyone know?

Thanks for the replies. If anyone IS considering it the current offer is only open until the 30th January.

i only got my new BT landline connected a few months ago, didnt pay a penny to get it installed and connected.

Told them about the offer that another company had and there install was free, they said if i commit to 24months then they would do the same. :)

Another saving tip is to just simply ask for a new number. Tell them you are getting loads of phone calls for the previous residents or wrong numbers.

"I'd like a fresh new number please," my girlfriend's mother done just that the other day.

One of the nice things BT does from time to time.

Don't forget if having the 2nd line means being back on ebay, then the line rental is covered with your sales. :cheer:

dont talk to me about bt, Im having house refurbished and need rewiring etc, their reps are idiot sauvants...
