| Penya | 03-13-2010 09:18 PM | Changing IP address on SKY router I've moved recently to a non-cabled area and will get SKY broadband soon. On my old cable router (Virgin Media) it was so easy to change IP's but not sure hw it works on SKY's routers. Anyone using SKY broadband for stealth?
Thanks |
uk_making_chatters_disapp | 03-18-2010 03:39 PM | ip i have sky for the net...this is how you can change your
ip on sky........Log in to the router at 192.168.0.1, Username Admin, Password Sky, Select Router Status, then use the Sky Test button, which should reconnect you with a new IP address ...it works :cheer: |
oompaloompa | 03-20-2010 04:13 AM | sky broadband changes upon disconnection, its a dynamic ip |

andyf777 | 01-19-2011 01:28 PM | I have sky, all's you do to change ip address is turn the router off for half an hour, switch it back on and then you have a new ip. Bit of a pain if you have many accounts but you get used to it. |
cortex | 01-19-2011 07:03 PM | 30 mins you say? ok...ill try it |

I just tried it again now and it works fine...did you click on the connection status? then it will bring the smaller box up and click on disconnect..wait a few seconds then it will be disconnected....click on reconnect and then wait a few seconds and then you will see your new ip number thanks Be Patient lol |
uk_making_chatters_disapp | 01-20-2011 12:17 AM | woops I forgot to say that make sure you keep a list of all the ip numbers if you are going to do this frequently cos sometimes sky will give you the same ip number again. For example... the ip number i had on the 17/03/10.. i got the same ip again on the 26/11/10 and in between that i had changed the ip 17 times lol so just be aware of that thanks |

wonder if anyone else had any luck? |
GreenBean | 01-21-2011 07:47 AM | Have you tried:
use ipburger.com determine the IP address
Press disconnect button
Wait
Press connect button
use ipburger.com check for IP change? |
cortex | 01-21-2011 12:01 PM | Yes GB thats exactly what I did. I waited for a 3 minute interval before reconnecting then refreshed ipburger in another window. nada
maybe ill try waiting a bit longer before reconnecting |
queent | 01-22-2011 10:12 AM | you just need to turn it off for about 1 min, i do it all the time |
turbo | 01-23-2011 08:38 AM | I bought a new router from pc world. sky routers are complete ****e!
However replacing the router is breaking their T&C... and it will involve decrypting your sky router username and password.
There was a link somewhere on how to do this. I cant find it at the moment but you could perhaps start by looking here: Can I Use my own Router with Sky Broadband?
When you get your own router, it will allow you to change mac address, therefore ultimately allowing to change your IP address.
I use one mac address per steath account. |
Traderjuk | 01-24-2011 05:19 PM | Sky ip change Hi it worked for me but I had to reboot the router by poking the reset through the small hole in the back of the router, took about 2 mins to reboot with a new ip.
Hope this helps. |
densal | 01-25-2011 05:54 PM | I just pull the power plug out and put it back in 100% always changes ip address on my sky router |
stevem802002 | 01-17-2012 04:52 PM | hi, i did the 'disconnect' and reconnect - the ip address changed. Q, how do i know ive not used this ip address before to log in?
Ive done all the other stuff, change bank, email etc ready to go with new ebay sign up - im going to create a new user account on my com to keep thing seperate from my former normal com account used for ebay sign ups. |
xxxhustlerxxx | 01-17-2012 05:20 PM | as long as you have changed the ip you will be fine. if you are making more than one account you can write the ip address's down so that each time you log in to a new account you will know if you have used it before or not. |
Killuminati | 01-18-2012 08:29 AM | I use to be able to change my ip address on sky with no problems now i can not because they have done a update on the firmware when i log in to the router the network type has changed to MER before it was pppoa.Sky are now using sticky ips that don't change all the time it is really frustrating.
Now i have no choice to use a 3g dongle it is pretty easy to get a new ip address. |
stevem802002 | 01-18-2012 02:51 PM | hmm just clicked refresh on ipburger.com and it is now a different ip address - i have a dynamic address so whats the sure fire way to ensure your not using a pre-reg ip address with ebay?
Also, when i register again with a new email, if i check and / or reply with that email account on my old ebay computer, would this trigger anything (merely checking the email on a blacklisted computer?). I just have to not login on a blacklisted computer right? |
xxxhustlerxxx | 01-18-2012 07:24 PM | dude the ip you are using now will have been used on ebay by someone at some point. why are you talking about old computers? you only need one pc. read the stealth book. all info is in there:thumb: |
moneyhustler88 | 07-16-2012 05:09 PM | hmm this is an interesting thread to me know..can anyone confirm what method currently works? | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:29 AM. | |
