Credit check information that is given out

Does anyone know what information is given out when a company performs a credit check on you?

IE Paypal have the right to carry out a credit check when you sign up with them.

I am just wondering how detailed the report they receive from you is.

hey there, not 100% sure but i did a credit check on myself as i have pretty bad credit, only listed 2 defaults. Had no credit applications etc on it . Not sure if a company does one they get a more detailed one...
