No Paypal

Hi

I'm thinking of purchasing a pre 11/07 Ebay account as I would like not to have PP as a payment option.

Are there people here who don't accept PP at all?, if so how are they finding their sales compared to when they did accept PP

Yeah it can be a hassle if you don't take paypal, depends on how hot your item is to make it worth their while to sign up for another payment method. I know this might sound funny but I happen to like paypal quite a bit, I haven't had any problems with them in quite some time, they keep me paid in the shade.

Answer depends on which country you list to sell. Ideally/mainly ebay uk insists on having paypal attached in order to sell. Buyers are like sheep. They've been brainwashed into paypal...:pop2:

I agree slightly, I remember when all was going swimmingly with Paypal, lots of lovely instant payment notifications, then bang they limited me with no explanation, destroyed my business.

I'm just sick of getting these limitations through no fault of my own and the slow bank transfers etc. I think perhaps I will offer Paypal but other payment methods too, that way maybe I can have a slightly smaller chance of receiving further limitations.

I think your problem lies in the word business, trying to run a busines with paypal without lots of documentation is going to be a problem. If you make believe you're a 13 old kid selling stuff on the side every once in while from his/her bedroom and multiply that as many times as you want, then you'll be alot better off, paypal likes those kind of people, you can even call and ask them yourself, they'll tell ya the same thing.

Maybe the problem was that I was shifting around 50k a month and had a 'premier' account instead of business?

Yeah 50k a month on 1 non-business acount without all the right documentation is going to run into problems, 2k on 25 accounts would do much better.

Is it worth having a business account, or am I more likely to get linked to my old PP that way?
