Proximity of IP address
 

Hi,

I need to setup some new UK Ebay and Paypal Stealth accounts.

I live overseas so a friend will be opening the accounts from his computer in the UK thus utilising genuine UK IP addresses on signup and first few uses of account.

The idea is I will then switch to operating the accounts from abroad later on.

I want to know does the proximity of my friends UK IP address to the addresses given for the accounts matter when setting up the accounts? Or would it be ok to give addresses outside his IP area?

I do have a real address I could use for one of the accounts but it is about 20 miles away from where my friends IP area.

I would not think a 20 mile radius would make much difference.
o2 covers a wide range of area.
London o2 is based in hertfordshire, so That is more than 20 miles from london.
Long as it is in close proximity and looks feesable, as an area that could be covered, then it should be fine.
I have created out of area accounts, and am fine with it , all you can do is give it a go. Unless someone can offer you more concrete advise, it is a matter of trial and error I am affraid

Ip address makes no difference within UK, in my experience, Ive got a few 50 miles away or more, in any case you could log in from work and have your account registered at your home, etc..
