Using a new Visa Debit card, was linked to a blocked acc
 

Hi all

just abit of advice please. Basically Natwest is taking forever to sort me out a new account

but i have been sent a brand new Visa debit card from Lloyds bank. Only problem being is that this account that the card is connected to is from a banned ebay/paypal account

the debit card number is diffrent and everything, but was wondering if it will be a problem as the account its from is on file

does paypal / ebay ask for account details or is it just card details?

As long as numbers are different, seems to work fine. The account really does not matter. I have broken up a Visa account into multiple different cards - works wonders.

Yeah im 99% sure that the code detail is diffrent as i lost my old one, and they sent me a new one out.

so im guessing the details on the card wont be the same, change of expiry dates etc

Exactly - it will all be different. 16 digit code, expiry date, CVC number - all new and fresh for your bagging pleasure.

thanx rsot, and will ebay just ask for card number when i sell rather than account number?

Theoretically, you can sell with just a debit card on PayPal. But obviously, your not going to be able to get verified OR withdraw funds from Paypal without a bank account.

so now i am confussed, obv the card is linked to a active bank account

so i will have to enter my bank acc details down the line which means they will find that its been used before. and that its just the card thats diffrent

so i will give them all my card/acc details and with my F@@ke name which i joined with and all should be ok

well thats seems to be the theory behind it lol from what I have read here anyhow have yet to try it next ebay project planned for the end of the week so will let you know ;)

no no no you will need a fresh bank account every time, any old card number will do wether it is linked to a bank account used before or not "they" dont know that :)

ok so i have just read that using a new visa debit card will not work from a already used bank account

Don't use any digits/info attached to any old account period. Always fresh. Used a bank account for an old account? Close the bank - open a new one and rework. Don't even try to rehash.

I am sorry about my last post - visa to me = credit card. If it's a debit, I have no experience.

I have never used debit to verify or work with Paypal - straight bank account + credit card. Sorry for the confusion

@rsot - please..how do you break up a visa card into multiple different cards?
