eBay said they needed a landline, gave them a mobile number and then was able to start selling straight away.

on a UK account? well thats not normal, they reject mobile formats...what was the format exactly of first 4 digits and how long was number.

yeah i would like to know that also, as it would take the hassle out of using a landline i hope and be alot easier!

UPDATE:

I entered the number with the 44 (+44) and then a few seconds later they phoned it with a verification code.

However, all though it worked at first, I was hit with an MC010 on that account and I guess that the reason is because of the mobile number - they wanted a lot more information than normal regarding the MC010 and jumped straight to the faxing in information part rather than asking a few questions.
