| stickmade | 06-28-2010 04:38 PM | Huawei e160 3g dongle on 3 network. For 10pounds i get 1GB valid for 30days. Its perfect for switching between accounts because it changes ip each time. I do keep a log on the IP changes, this is vital so you don't get linked. 3 have the best network coverage for mobile broadband so i think their your best choice. Hope this helps :-) |
| SelfMade17 | 06-28-2010 05:29 PM | how much is a 2gb data plan worth?
like do you think its enough to use the same 2gb for iphone stuff..like email checking..web browsing a bit..youtubing..and some other small items..and also use the tehtering for laptop to check email, possibly do listings or edit listings..and do paypal transactions?? |
| imhim | 06-29-2010 08:11 AM | tbh, the fastest broadband dongle on the market is vodafone... get a vodafone broadband dongle... |
| bigbill | 06-29-2010 09:42 AM | just invested in a dongle from three. works great, is really fast and changes IP address each time it is connected and disconnected.
Thanks |
| paultrade | 06-29-2010 09:55 AM | 3G is the best one around it changes ip address every time you re-connect. its best for multi accounts. 1 GB for £10 a month will give you 5-6 hours of internet every day.
best of luck |
| forummember | 06-29-2010 03:20 PM | Seems like I'll give 3 a go. |
| SelfMade17 | 06-29-2010 03:49 PM | yeah 3g is good..but if you can get 4g..i suggest that. :P |
I just bought a 3 dongle Huawei E1150, hope I can get it unlocked |
| SelfMade17 | 06-30-2010 11:49 AM | should have looked into that before buying..just incase you cant..buy one that you can forsure..
o.O |
Absolutely livid. I have the unlock code, but can't get the software to recognize modem. Wasting precious days trying to get this fixed :(( |
| paypalpains | 07-10-2010 02:16 AM | i use 3G as well |
| oompaloompa | 07-10-2010 02:45 AM | Yep 3 is the cheapest and give you last 6 digit random changes of ip, you can also attach via webnwalk to any PC |
| vokonta | 07-19-2010 06:25 AM | Why do you need unlock code for the 3 dongle? Just need to check this before i buy cos not sure why it needs to be unlocked |
I think I got a USB dongle from Hong Kong - don't know what to do with it though ha... |

| Stigger | 07-19-2010 07:28 PM | i use a 3 whatever dongle with an iphone o2 sim, on to my second sim now 6months in, so thats full unlimited access for £10 a year . |
| fgreco | 07-19-2010 09:07 PM | What is the best no contract plans. Is it virgin mobile?

Now I have a virgin mobile pay as you go phone. Can I just buy the dongle and then switch the sim card from my phone to the dongle like it says in another post in this thread?
EDIT: Yeah I have been looking and only see Virgin Mobile service for USA.
Thanks TizWoz |
| forummember | 07-20-2010 10:14 AM | 3 are great, the IP chances, cheap and relatively fast. |

Thanks TizWoz | the easiest thing would be to get a virgin dongle if they do them
or you need to get a dongle unlocked, 3 e1550 works good and have good speed, i can help with unlocking most dongles FREE and providing new drivers.

Plus others.
Would appreciate any help. |

£1.29 x 3 isn't going to break the bank surely |

| Bellachica | 10-12-2010 08:11 PM | Just to be clear on this post, in order to have an IP address change on a dongle, the dongle needs to be unblocked. Is this correct once it is unblocked then it can every time you use plug it in it create a new IP add is the correct?
Can some one confirm this with me or PM me
thanks |
| Stigger | 10-13-2010 01:42 PM | no
almost any, if not all from the shop will change i.p randomly
Unblocking them allows you to use any sim from any network so if another network is offering a better deal just get the sim, it allows you to use a payasyougo sim from your phone also |

I did not use it much, last topped up months ago, but theyve changed the T&Cs, seems like all of them are the same now - 3 is comparible, but not as good value for occasional use! dang |
| Paddymac | 10-19-2010 09:11 AM | So if I jailbreak my iphone can I use internet tethering and get a new IP on each connection? |
| oompaloompa | 10-20-2010 07:28 AM | yes tethering is good
I dont think you need to jailbreak it first. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:46 AM. | |
