Mercahnt Account for dodging Paypal

Im currently running 47 ebays accounts, problem is as we know paypal suspensions are a nightmare for these accounts. Would merchant accounts replace paypal totally , can one merchant account be used for more than one id?

I used to at the end of auction a few years ago email people for cheques, transfers or postal orders, what is the intergration process for merchant accounts or do you have to copy paste in every invoice the payment details as i used to for the old methods?

All help welcome to extend my stay on ebay cheers guys.

Yes a merchant account can replace paypal or could a year or so ago .

i used moneybookers to take my payments and it was a 3 click install, all yo have to do is enter you ebay id and agree, moneybookers are a very very good alternative to paypal .

Edit

Thinking about it I'm not sure you can totally replace it now as i think you always have to offer paypal as a payment option, I'm almost sure this came in to force in the u.k a while back .

Seems like you always need a verified paypal unless you have pre 07 account. Even then, you need one but you can handle processing without checks for ID.

even then here in the u.k your going to get vetted with any respectable merchant account unless you use something like 2co or ccnow
