Hotmail VS Googlemail???
 

Hi, read before that best to use Googlemail for stealth, Googlemail's Conversation view is drivingg me Crazy :doh:

Can i use Hotmail, or would that give eBay/Amazon some info to them?

I think amazon and ebay can track you through emails by using images if you use hotmail.

I think googlemail gives you to option to stop displaying these images...

But i believe you can also stop image display with yahoo

GMail is the best for eBay.

Would it make any difference if i only use it to register the account?
I answer all questions through eBay.

ok, you can stop display of images on hotmail too. the only thing with hotmail is that when you reply to questions from buyers it goes via ebay and the ip may show in the imbedded text, on gmail it isnt supposed to (although it has had glitches and its shown ip!) so if you do this via hotmail there is a risk of linkage to another account, eg you were logged in earlier on same ip.

Now this is only a v. v v small risk that they would even bother to look at the ip imbedded in hotmail and catch the email thru their servers, only if they were suspicious of you somehow for another reason. My conclusion therefore is that if images are not displayed/switched off you can use ANY provider.

you can adjust you message setting in ebay and paypal to just plain text .

you can also use you gmail or yahoo to sign in to windows messenger .


The one thing that always worried me is, i noticed when ever i used msn or live mail and opened and message from paypal or ebay , the messenger task bat icon used to appear even when i closed it , I'd go back open another message and it appears again, used to do my nut, i only use messenger to chat to suppliers.

Iam using a dongle, each time i disconnect & reconnect i get a different IP, so would that mean it dosent matter??? :spy:

ip is the main thing you need to worry about if pics are displayed or you send messages via ebay, so if its constantly changing, and the ip is not same as a diffenrent recent account log in for different account - then thats good

another thing is cookies, so open the email account only on same screen as the account the cookies belong too - eeasiest way round all of this is do not display pics, then there arent issues with regard to cookies...

use only hotmail/googlemail to register an account only, do not open any e-mails from ebay/paypal in any e-mail account as can will get linked, if you access ebay make sure you do not use internet explorer use firefox/flock etc and delete all private data when closing
