Ebay 50 item monthly limit unless I link with Paypal

Just had a new one - ebay are limiting me to 50 listings a month unless I link my ebay account to my Paypal account. Is there any way to avoid this? Are they now doing this with all new accounts or just ones they don't like the look of? I am not selling anything other than antiques and collectables.

So, i take it you are not using paypal to receive payments for items you have sold?
What means have you used?

I put paypal on auctiva listings cos I understand it's not a good idea to have the ebay and paypal account linked in case ebay try to take money out of the paypal account. Am I just being dumb here and all ebay accounts have to be linked to paypal?

eBay are getting more and more stricter on wanting you to link a PayPal account.
