Payment Holds

Hi. I have visited here on many occasions so I thought it was about time I signed up.

Thought my case may be of interest to some:

I have 85 Feedback with 63 DSR and I am STILL having my payments HELD!

I was under the impression that once one hits 20+ DSR they are no longer held.

Evidently this is not the case.

No real big deal but I am amazed payments are still being held, save for one or two. The account is 4 months old.

Seems like ebay may be holding all payments now??

Hi the same thing is happening to my daughter ,payment hold they do of 6 months apparantly, which is so unfair, they release each payment only when the buyer leaves feedback.
hope this helps.

"unfair" - yes sums up a lot of decisions on their part.

It happens to us all - you have to ship and wait. No way around this except building your history. Also depends on what you sell

Yeah, i was going to say that those still have holds after 4 or 6 months should state what they sell cos this might also be a factor. Perhaps systems class certain items as high risk

Well actually, on the last few accounts I sold on, which had 0 feedback and about 2-3 months old. I got no holds, however the sale price was not over $30 per transaction. It probably depends on what you sell and the price. I'm sure if I would have sold something for $200 the payment would have gotten held.
