That Chris187 sounds like a woman of a weasel.

If you research the forum you'll find all the answers to all the questions which you've posed. You've already made numerous long, circular posts but have given very little worthwhile information back. The forum doesn't solely exist for your own quick fix.

You failed to capitalize on your dealing with PP on the phone conversation with them.

As others have tried to tell you, here are the facts.

Your PP account is Limted, and so is your eBay account. Your eBay account is not Suspended but you are barred from selling or using PP in any way. You still have "the privilege" of buying on eBay. LOL. Either one of your accounts cannot be reused in any way. Altering information will be no help as it's all been tainted.

You cannot use a merchant service to accept payments for eBay transactions in UK. If you have an independent web store then by all means yes you can accept payments, but not on eBay. To sell on eBay UK you are required to have a PP account in normal standing.

Sadly even I wouldn't buy from a seller such as yourself much less provide CC details to feed into your merchant's machine.

hmm woman of a weasal, not heard that one before, is that a bit like Kate in taming of the shrew??!

anyhoo, you must offer paypal on UK site, and as you dont have one, it is no point using that account to sell.

you can offer merchant accounts on the tick boxes under paypal on the listing but as said before it must be with paypal being offered too (and Im buggered if anybody ever takes the merchant option, 0.01%?)

your eb is dead, apart from as a buying without pp account, use it to buy stock, a joblot for example sometimes comes up at good prices on eb, so not entirely wasted

and yes the search button is a beautiful beautiful thing......

..
I never understood that. Credit card payment is credit card payment. And with spending limits one would think not having to use PayPal would be an attraction. I think spending limits are way higher then they used to be, but I used to look for sellers that had credit card payments off paypal.

Even if half took that option, but from what I read here most dont want anything but PayPal. Shame, a real shame

Do paypal really phone up each supplier and ask them if they know me and tell them the invoice number that i put down ?

If they do im screwed. They ask for invoices and supplier contact info.

Any advice or thoughts ?

Cheers
Nah I don't think Paypal bother checking out all the suppliers you have given them. I've been asked for this info also a few times. I buy my items from China but theres no way I'm telling Paypal that! I just googled stockists of the same products in the UK and gave their details! For one off items which I only have one of them, I said they were an unwanted gift. I also named a few auction houses and liquation disposal houses and pretended I bought goods from these! All these have been accepted!! So I wouldn't worry too much!

Jbuntz you sound like you must go through lots of bank accounts. Can we just keep getting new accounts? I was under the impression we can run out.
