What voip phones do you recomend
 

Just most of the ones I have tried have been rubbish and I would hate to think I may actually have to talk to a person on one of those.

any suggestions on one that would not sound like a cheap speaker and microphone.

loads of choices m8. just google voip. i personally use voipfone. can't comment on any others but it seems sipgate is also good.

I've just used soho66 for the 1st time, not overly impressed, as I had to email support twice, once to get the number activated and second to get the £5 credit, credited to the account, works well enough after these 2 hurdles though, especially like how they add vat to the onscreen prices!

No I mean the handset. Sorry I could mix up the simplest of statements

If I use one of the voip companies and ebay or paypal decide to call, how do you talk to them through a normal speaker and a mic, although I would not mind the headset ones if any one has any suggestions. Just most I have tried have been rubbish and they make me sound like a dalek or micky mouse. Or the leads on them are one foot long and every time you move your head the leads jump out.

Just do not think an ebay paypal muppet would be impressed if any of the above was going on.

I use skype, it cost £11 and they have loads of numbers in different areas in the UK

They belong to ebay, I would change until the sale goes through.

I've used my iPhone for VoIP calls.. there are a lot of apps you can download that are free, some even give you a new phone number. (US)

voipfone and it works well with Zoiper Free on your PC/Laptop

I tested mine out and it works fine.

You also have the option to forward the calls to any number you wish so just forward them to your mobile and problem solved but i find that the Zoiper software works well on its own on your PC/Laptop
