The second time i tried using the digital number pad on the Zoiper software but it didnt seem to register it either..
I have 1 last try, does anyone have any ideas how to do this?
This is when paypal ring you automated to confirm your address and it says enter the pin which is on the screen on paypal.
I go to enter it on Zoiper but it does not seem to work.
Thanks |

| stickmade | 09-23-2010 05:49 AM | Yeah,,, try it again,, but this time,,, when she says "please enter your paypal code",,,, the minute she stops talking,,,
type the code in as fast as possible,, type it really fast TRUST ME,, this will work,, type it as fast as you would say it,, lol
This will work,, i found that it needs to be fast,, or they'll come back saying "incorrect code"
Ive made a lot of accounts recently and ive lost about 1 think,, good luck |
| kirkie | 09-23-2010 05:50 AM | Paypal is ringing me, then says please enter the pin on your screen, i was not redirecting, i was just using the software on my laptop, is this where i am going wrong?
Anyhow this account is kaput, i have had to remove my bank account and card details and close the account.
Will i be safe using the card and bank details on another account as there are not linked to suspended account? |
| kirkie | 09-23-2010 07:13 AM | Sorted it, the best way is to divert the call that way you wont have any problems |
| isitworththestress | 09-23-2010 03:43 PM | What is the problem with the software that causes this that call divert does not? |
| jason357 | 09-24-2010 01:54 AM | I think the problem was that the paypal automated service did not here the tone from your laptop keypad, I know this is the case if you try and use skype (not recommended for varification, its an ebay sister company) you press the keypad numbers as requested and get no tone, so essentially paypal hears no response, best way is to redirect to a mobile or landline as you have done.
ps top tip, if you are redirecting a number to use for varification, make sure you try it out 1st, to make sure you can redirect to you mobile or landline, and then answer the call and make sure you can actually type numbers into the handset and hear tones, before submitting the voip number etc to paypal/ebay if I would have done this more often than I would have saved myself money in time, vcc' and ebay/paypal accounts. |
| oompaloompa | 09-24-2010 06:00 AM | yes its all about the tone that the zombie-sounding automated lady hears (actually this is all on past threads, so a search would have answered initial questions) |
| isitworththestress | 09-24-2010 07:12 AM | I just tested it with the sipgate one and it seems to be making the right tones, does the Voip one not make tones, or is there something wrong with both tones? |
| kirkie | 09-24-2010 02:48 PM | it makes tones but you cant enter the pin, well i couldnt so i diverted just to make sure.. |
| isitworththestress | 09-24-2010 06:53 PM | I am just wondering why?
I have two phones in the house one I can use for verification the other I can't as the tones are wrong. I just wonder if it is that or if the sound is not going through the system. |
| oompaloompa | 09-25-2010 03:43 AM | thats exactly the reason, just divert to landline and stop trying to diagnose why tone is wrong..if you keep messing up and swapping numbers it can trigger a flag. |
| isitworththestress | 09-25-2010 05:15 AM | I have not tried it yet so not really a problem for me, still looking into the voip systems and seeing how I can use them.
But I found out why they do not work through some google searching. It is not the wrong tone, it is the fact most of them are preventing sounds getting through from your computer. Like those stupid dings when something finishes or opens and it looks like they took it a bit too far.
Now I am just trying to work out how you get more numbers on them, I see on voip you can buy them, and you have to supply a lot more physical info for sign up, and the number they give you for start up is a national one rather than regional.
Is it a case of opening up a new account for each knew number you want on sipgate? as I am busy searching through sipgate and can't find a method of adding more numbers. |

Does it say how many numbers you can buy on there?
if it is more than the extra one do you have to add credit for each line?
The first sipgate one is free and regional
For those of you that have dozens of accounts, what do you do, just leave them on voicemail, or have a way to answer them all? |
| kirkie | 09-25-2010 09:01 PM | Its easy, just sign up for it.
you can have loads of numbers.
you get 1 free number.
extra numbers are only a couple of pounds and regional.
with all the numbers you can divert them to any phone. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:08 PM. | |
