Withdrew some money today and wham bam! account limited! What do I do? Do I try and refund everyone or just dump account and wait for paypal to refund them. There is no way I am sending my stock out because that means even more loss! I am really pxxxxx off!
Well considering it is not the buyers fault, the nice thing to do would be to go in and issue all of them a refund...why would you wait on paypal to do it? The only people that suffer are going to be the buyers....and that is not necessary. Issue the buyers the refund, send paypal a "screw you" email and start over SLOWLY.

Thanks rsot. The only thing I need to decide is do I refund all buyers or just dump account so paypal can deal with mop up? This is a sure way for buyers to lose faith in ebay in the future if they keep stopping purchases going ahead. This is so time consuming. Will have to work out a different plan and approach in future.

Yes will refund buyers tomorrow as you are right not their fault and send a message. How many attempts did it take you guys to finally find a safe and fool proof way of selling?

Im sorry to hear about your account Jayne..

Ok, I have over 80 listings lol

In 2 weeks I have sold 5 items, the last item I sold had no payment holds.

I have slowed down and I am not listing anymore items until I have at least 20 feedback.

I have withdrawn money from paypal once with no limitations.

If and when I get limited I shall let you guys know

Not nice, and not true.....does a smoker stop smoking because they got a pack of stale cigerettes?.....does a person stop hitting the bottle because they got some skunk beer....does a person stop speeding because they got a ticket???....can go on and on but you get the point. Ebay/paypal is over millions strong and arent going anywhere.....dealing with a bad seller isnt going to deter people from "ebaying"....there is right and there is wrong and there is karma....do the right thing as it wouldnt take but 5 min of your time to hit the refund button...no skin off your back and no money out of your pocket.

Thanks you have certainly been lucky. You somehow are keeping under the radar. These limitations seem to happen straight after I have withdrawn as this happened on one of my real accounts. If I start slow on my next stealth account and I buy a few items how do you get them to send it to your real address withput putting real address via ebay message? Any tips?

I basically registered my account and left it for 2-3 days then I bought 1 item for £1.50.

Then I let the account rest for another 2 days and bought another item for about £3.50 .

After I bought and paid for these items I emailed the buyer and asked him to send to another address, in this case it was my neighbors 2 doors down.

Then I used the account to search for items and browse the help pages and selling policys etc.

I opened a business seller account using paypal for verification and payment for fees.

Then I removed paypal as my source to pay seller fees and changed it to a pre pay card.

I thought I would register as a business account of the mark, that way you dont get the 100 listing limit in 30 days like you get on a private account.

Listed 10 items the next day using auctiva buy it now about 29.99 in value

Then another 10 the next day.

Sold 1 item for 29.99 payment hold and funds released after feedback left

I listed some cheap items I had around the house starting at 0.01p as an auction sold for 60p, its was a lead for a laptop I also sold 2 books as an auction, sold for about 4 pounds each.

Got my feedback and funds where released from paypal

Then opened an ebay shop and listed 10 items a day

2 sales yesterday and no holds on funds.

1 withdrawal from paypal and no limitaion.

and thats basically it so far..

I love how all those things kill you but totally agree refund and be done, or do what I did and when you send the refund add the message if you still want the item, you can buy it off my alternative selling place.
It worked and they always give you a little back up when ebay makes another change that messes everything up.

But I understand how people get sick. We have been watching the ebay sales over the past week, as we are moving to add a few more things and nothing is selling.

I think it is the first time ever that I can say I am making more from my alternative than ebay, as the stuff we have on ebay at the moment is getting a lot of watchers but no sales and I have just had someone come in and buy another four items of the alternative that is not getting as many views.

So I get where this person is coming from when you feel that you are just banging your head off a wall with ebay at times. But totally agree it is not the buyers fault.
