what other methods do you lot in the UK use to accept payments other then paypal ?? on eBay

whats second best as i take it paypal controls at least 95% of the payments on BAY

We know they are but try to be a little professional, ta.
Ideally to sell on EBAY in the UK, you should have a verified paypal. Now to get around that it depends how much effort you want to put into directing the buyers to paying another way. And that is an uphill battle.

Concentrate on paypal & EBAY.
