on a website called digital spy

I called Sky Broadband and asked if it used a static IP. The sales guy went to check and said it was dynamic. We discussed a bit further and he said it was very dynamic and I would get a new address every time I reconnected.

I use Skybroadband and can confirm its dynamic,the ip changes everyday as long as I switch of my router overnight....

no it can be switched off and on depending on your set up, simplest way to
disconnect router or pull phone socket out...

oompaloompa - That is completely wrong!

When Sky changed their modems over it all went to STATIC.

I have to use mobile broadband due to the fact it doesnt change. In fact the real term is called ' STICKY DYNAMIC' but thats just a cute way of saying its static.
