Phone verification for lifting limit..help please!
 

Hi, could someone please help me. I have followed the stealth guide, have verified a paypal account (stealth), but now that I am trying to lift the £1900 limit, when I click on the 'confirm by phone' button, nothing happens, it just keeps coming back to the same page on Paypal. I have not used the Paypal account at all yet, nor have I opened an ebay account yet. If Paypal were, for instance, going to send a verification by post, they would tell me wouldn't they, or would they just send a letter anyway? Well, if that is the case, I am in a little trouble here then, as the address I have used is of course not mine. Anyone have any ideas please? Thank you.

Get a PO box, you can find ones that are dirt cheap where you pay only for mail received in and forwarding and not a monthly fee, so if you only use it for PP or Feebay and such like wont really ever cost you, except for the occasional verification letter.

watch pobox address, ebay aint stoopid, they look up address and see its pobox (do your own goodle and see amount of people listed under it) so rule is best keep pobox for business account. I got this question recently and blagged it, by saying it was work address, but they asked for ID etc

Phone verification for lifting your 1900 limit seems to be down here in the uk, I have been trying to do it for the last few days and when i press"confirm by phone" nothing happens. My guess is that its just a paypal error/maintainence and will go back to normal in the nxt few days. Just have patience.

HI Im having same trouble with my accounts. DO you think we may be missing something here. Afterall paypal cant be down! can it? How would we knw when it is back. I mean I donot want to trigger my accounts by trying to many times. :(

yes glitch does and has happened, and I hear its happeneing right now, keep hitting submit button or wait a bit..

has anyone had any luck with this yet?? i have almost the same problem

This sounds like a little more than a glitch, Dose anyone have have a copy the exact error message

I don't get an error message, I click on the link for 'verification by phone, a page appears to be loading, and then nothing, it just reverts to the same page as before. Last week I at least go a message saying there was a techincal fault, and to try again later.

i get the same the page just refreshes, this name and address are good too, completely real so im baffled as to why ????

still going? jeez louise....glitch nothing you can do, if it is happening to others, Ive known it to happend from time to time

You need to add credit card first to match name and address before verifying then it will be ok, did one 2 days ago and i did not even have to verify by phone either

I having same problem and i have no idea what i can do to get rid of this.

i am having this at the moment, no credit card added yet, just verified bank account.

normally in the past you keep refreshing, but this time it wont work..

I have 3 accounts opened, say issue with all of them, everything is not linked because i know my way around stealth...
Shall i call Paypal to see the problem?

yes please and let us know whats said, however cover yourself while doing this make sure you have all stealth info to hand, although im sure you know all this already :doh:

I just phoned Paypal.. the details were stealth, (not that i did not know that).
I asked them what's the problem causing the confirm your information progress?
She said "Add your back account first and verify it and at the moment we are having issues with this progress and we are fixing it"

So this is a Paypal error. I am glad. Just hope it get fixed soon has.

Not a problem, actually if this account went down i did not care since i use bank accounts to the very end, i confirm my details first with Prepaid card, phones etc.. so i was making this has a back up account. In a way i lose nothing so thought give it a go. I was assured that it is a Paypal error....

Ive added a bank account [verified], then i did the phone thing and it didnt work for me, i got an error message saying they couldnt match up the details.
then i added a vcc and got the expuse number and then tried the phone thing again and it still didnt work...infact the last time it worked for me was back in 2009. The button i click is called "supply additional information" or something to that extent.

maybe im doing sumthing wrong? making the pp in the wrong order?
i just add the bank account and start selling. the phone thing never worked for me and i only add the VCC when they ask for it.

why do u confirm with a prepaid card first and then let it sit for a while?
why not just let it sit for a while?
what does adding the prepaid/vcc do to it?

I dont think its a glitch, its something smarter......can anyone explain, why if you use entropay card and a voip number, you cannot register for an amazon.co.uk seller account.it gets denied??? i think the answer might lie in that....
I am not sure, but i always think of the worst :P

i have opened many stealth ebay/paypal only my last one i have this problem, But with this one i use entropay as the payapal credit card for the vcc and to verify it , only 2 weeks ago when i verified by phone with another stealth account it worked but i used a proper credit card and a variation of address just like this one and the one before that which was only 4 weeks ago i did not even need to verify as all my info matched, i think it has something to do with entropay, if i am wrong then someone please correct me.

yes you could be right..the only time it did work for me was when i used a real CC number

This is still a problem for me. I have not added a credit card to my 2 paypal accounts waiting to be verified by phone.

Not sure how long its going to be before they sort this issue out, or one of us finds a way around it.

Bit of a pain..

Hi i have been suspended from ebay and paypal for a year now and i want to get back on to do business once again but i dont know how to go about doing this

I have read how to make a bank account and than put this info into a paypal account using a different spelling or alteration of your name and address

but for ebay should i do the same change my address a bit and also my name and also i have confused how to get phone verification for ebay account

and does a paypal account need phone verifcation as well or not as last time i ddint have do do this

And also last thing how do i go about getting a prepaid card to verfiy my paypal deposits and verify my account
