cannot list my 1st item on ebay
 

i cannot list my old jacket on ebay.....when i try to list it it takes me to how will i pay fees as its the 1st item im listing,i click on the pp option and it asks me to add a card/bank...
i have already added a bank account to pp but have not got the 2 deposits yet,is this the reason or might it be something else?
i think i need to verify my bank first but just want to know if it could be something else

Yes that`s the reason - your paypal is not verified yet =( Need to enter the deposits

I listed my first item 2 days ago before my bank verification has gone through. maybe I am just lucky ...

Yes jarob10 - sometimes the system has glitches - hell I have sold from unverified paypal but sooner or later, you get hit so not wise to do it.

i just tried yesterday selling without a verified paypal, but the paypal was linked to my ebay. the desposits haven't hit my prepaid card yet so i gotta wait like you. its pretty normal now for this to happen. just wait it and your good.

I wonder if linking a paypal account which is registered as a business makes a difference? when opening my new account. ebay invited me to 'start selling now', so I did.

I would be careful about getting some invite from ebay to start selling now - same rules apply...sell too quickly AND/OR too much, and you can expect limitation/suspension. I would still let the account build rep value.
