Verifing PayPal Location!
 

I tried verifying the information on a new PayPal stealth account I made and it gives me this message;

"We have done some checks and, unfortunately the information you have entered doesn't match the details we found for you. Please click on the Confirm your information link and try again."

Has anyone else had this problem before.

i have not had it myself but a mate has, If you keep clicking it will take you to phone verification and thats not working correctly here at the moment, i don't think its a glitch as such but more pp updating/changing there system, usually when its a glitch there is an announcement.

My mate seems to think the message is kind of worrying, what details ?? what are the details they already have ? maybe linked you to another account already - checked electoral role, credit check or bank sharing information, lets hope its nonE of the above and just my mate been really paranoid, however there seems to be some changes happing lately, maybe PP are beefing up there security :tears:

some one else on the forum has had this problem when using real details, so its most likely just a paypal glitch.

Guess we will just have to wait and see but this so called glitch has been around for about 7-10 days, never seen a glitch last that long before. i think its more than that, glitch's usually get sorted swiftly.

add credit card details before confirming and you should not have a problem, if there is it will do it 3-5 times then ask you to verify by phone

i did that, however i still got rejeced with the phone verification message - i wonder if its because my stealth pp addy doesnt match my real entropay addy?

i did this the page just refreshes itself :smash:

my VCC address matches my stealth details and i get the exact same message as the OP.

OP: is your physical location (or IP address) close or far away from the area code of your VOIP?

ie is the voip phone number a Liverpool number and the actual location [IP address] for somewhere like Bristol?

No my voip phone number is in the same area where I live.

Anyone with updates on this...about to use the PP system again to verify some location stuff and wanted to know if it was fixed.

Sorry cortex it's might be personal, but by any chance, you are not using entropay,are you ?
Also, how do you know that your vcc supports address validation.
Have you tried using your vcc elsewhere by putting a different postcode to see if it really gets declined ?

no probs..i dont use entropay no.
i dont know about vcc verifying address as i dont use the vcc for anything other than stealths. i withdraw the remaining balance back to my bank.

account has been verified by bank/phone/vcc successfully though :-)

i had the same problem then tonight i thought i would try something else, i set my ebay account to have paypal as my payment method for my fee's instead od credit card, then i logged into my paypal and tried to verify by phone again and it worked, hope this helps
