Lloyds TSB Takes 5 days to receive paypal withdraw

Just noticed lloyds TSB take 5 days to receive money from paypal, my other banks only take 3 days, this is a bit of a pain but better than getting none at all.

Does anyone else find this with lloyds?

Thanks

natwest takes 5 days for me to get my money too.... not ideal but they are easy to open new accounts with or to get account numbers changed, they have no problem with you having up to 3 either

I take it that means you have no outlay?

kirkie 10-31-2010 07:24 PM

i have some outlay, but still need my money from paypal. cash flow is needed, not waiting around for funds..

sax4 10-31-2010 07:30 PM

Well surely if you have the outlay then the 3-5 days isn't an issue?.

I used to use Paypal Topupcard, you can withdraw PP funds to card in 24 hours, don't think they're taking applications right now though

payment holds + 5 days is far to long for me to be waiting for funds.

kirkie 10-31-2010 07:36 PM

my last withdraw monday still not in bank friday, now waiting over the weekend till next monday, 7 days not goood enough.. but natwest should be all good :)

sax4 10-31-2010 07:37 PM

Sounds like you need to work on getting the holds lifted

How do you guys arrive at this number of days?
Cos i think it is more accurate to count from when paypal shows as completed status.
I have noticed that in some cases, paypal still remains as pending for longer than necessary. In this case, one can't blame LTSB....
The number of days should be counted from when paypal status shows as completed in my opinion

in that case i can confirm that i have seen 3 days after completed in PP
i have also seen it take 3 days to complete in PP and then 2 to get into bank not including the withdraw day or weekends, only working days, Whether i have selected the 1-2 withdraw option or not, with the above bank that i have used for years it used to take 3 days

i have noticed it happen more on early transactions and more frequently lately which leads me to think it is when they are trying to gather information, there seems to be allot of changes lately, which makes me think these glitches are not glitches but paypal changing the way they evaluate new customers to try and eliminate stealth's and a whole host of other problems associated with security

Another thing i think is sometime they get the information they want and let the PP stealth account run if they Know the seller is a good one (loads of bay sales or high value items) and they have chance to get back any money + EXTRA they have lost from you in the past, maybe not and its just me but i think not.
