Default Anyone else having problems with sipgate?

Can't seem to get it to do anything at the moment, as phoning in is going direct to voicemail and even Xlite will not link up.
Tried it on two different accounts and neither seems to be working.

Just wondered if it were something I had done or if others had the same problem?

I use PHONERLITE with no problems. Maybe xlite is the problem.

Not yet was just trying to see if I had done something wrong as it does seem like the system is messing up for some reason, as I tried both phonerlite and xlite and they are both struggling to link to the system.
And Xlite is preset when you download it so it always works, so I may try ask them whats up.

I couldnt be be bothered to wait for them so i paid soho66 a few quid and just got one of my ebay accounts verified.

they dont seem as "solid" as sipgate in that the sound quality sucked, half of the conversation was lost in etherial cyberspace and the phone was a PAIN to setup...really frustrating. The call diversion isnt free either, and just before its diverted theres a queer sounding man who says "customer XXXX isnt available right now" and THEN it diverts...totally lame thing to have. Doubt it will work with paypal..not gunna try it yet just incase.

But it got me verified with eBay in the end :-)

I have sent them the help request with info and will see what they say.

Also asked about the tone from the number keys getting back down the line to the caller on the other end. So maybe there is a way to do it without call forwarding.

I have used couple of years ago without any problems, but these days, I would recommend you carefully select the area code to match with your address.

0203 numbers are mostly used by VOIP-users .

I tell you what, heres a good advise for you,
Try to create stealth accounts in other towns, leave London :P

Most of the people have used up voip's in london so theres a great chance that you might be assigned the same number as a suspended member before.

There are tens and hundreds of company's offering same services and same set of numbers, one company doesnt assign the same number to more than 1 clients, but 'when released' , another company might assign to its clients )))

At the moment I am having a nightmare with it, as it is stuck on offline on the site and what ever softphone I use is timing out, and I have tried quite a few at this point.

My Ccleaner is working overtime cleaning each one off as I try the next one.

ebayerukg

It did not start messing up until I tried adding a second one but the first was easy to set up with XP and Xlite

As far as I can tell a lot of them are getting it now. I suspect it is going to be the norm to get your ID made up when setting up an account, as it is supposed to be going to happen to all eventually.

Sipgate update i have been using sipgate for quite a while now and today i needed a new phone number for a stealth account. I have tryed opening a sipgate account but they don't have landline numbers anymore it is only 0845 usually it use to be 0203 landline numbers.

Any one knows another free forwarding service??

Have over 10 numbers with Soho66 and all of them work extremely well with exceptional call clarity.

You need to make sure that call routing is correct and that you use connection whisper if routing multiple numbers to a single receiving number.

IMHO Soho66 are by far the best VOIP service in the UK, well worth the £2 per number per month. Plus you can have a number from any regional dialling code in the UK.

Oh! and by the way they work perfectly for both e/b and p/p. Have called them both from Soho66 numbers with absolutely no problems, caller ID function works.
