Simple home setup questions regarding IP's

I only want two Paypal addresses: One for a merchant account and one as a spare.

My current IP now has one limited account attached to it.

So, after reading stealth guide, could someone just confirm this setup will run ok:

- I will change my home broadband IP with 02 to a new one, and use only the merchant account with this from now on. Do I still need to change my IP every time though?

- I will only access the other spare account (perhaps used for buying ebay etc) with my 3 dongle (confirmed to switch IP's every time it's logged onto.)

Will this setup work ok? Neither will be high risk (no dodgy goods or anything) and neither will be affiliated in any way with the old IP.

Thanks for the help guys.

Not if the only account that IP touches is the good one. Same IP and cookies is a good thing. But anything that touched your banned account has to go

Use separate window user accounts for each to keep cookies separate.

**And keep a log on IPs so no mistakes

Thanks Pod, this is one of the only things in the guide I found a little confusing. Realistically, is there any reason why, if used across two individual user accounts, the two brand new PP accounts can't share the same IP.

Also, one more hypothetical question:

If I have 1 pc and two laptops under the same roof sharing the same connection, and I use one of the laptops to browse the net using the new IP on the router, if I never go near anything to do with ebay or paypal, will that ever be a problem?

I'm assuming it's just a case of once a new IP is established, it's only the dead accounts that can never be looked at again, everything else is okay?

Well, ya. They have the same IP they are linked. I think you are missing the concept of stealth a little. Think of IP like a phone number and PayPal has call display. You cant be two people using the same number.

Nothing, at all, can be the same.

If you use an IP that never goes on PP or eBay they cant see it.

What happens if you're partners living under the same roof and you have an account each? :confused:

In a real world situation you both would have ID and SSN so it would be easy to work out with them when they ask. This however is not the same. You wont have everything they may ask for.........

Be Careful

The best thing to do is keep a record of your ip numbers cos if i hadnt i would be kicked off again cos i had used the exact ip number on my pc from 5 months ago

I use sky and all you do is go to http://192.168.0.1/

username = admin
password = sky

and it lets you disconnect and then it lets you reconnect and you then have a new ip number

Hey mate,

I'm with 02 who make things much more complicated, however I'm only planning to have 1 paypal address accessible through my home broadband, so I won't need to keep switching IP's.
If I'm ever looking at any other accounts or whatnot it will be on a separate user profile and with my 3 dongle only, which changes IP randomly every time you log in.

Daioujou seems like you need some organization. Just gimme a PM with your email address and I'll send you a format sheet to make life easier in STEALTH.
