Creating a UK Limited Company for Stealth Account - help?
 

I've read 'auction stealth' and although it's a great ebook that gave me some good ideas, it does focus more on the US side of things.

Our current UK ebay account is running a long nicely. 3 years old, lots of feedback and high compliance status.

Our paypal is also nice and old.

But.. we want back ups incase everything goes tits up.

So MY PLAN...

• Register a UK Ltd Company.
• My partner and I will be the directors.
• The address for company will be the accountants.
• Skype telephone number with voicemail.

But... the problem I see here is that the the directors names are already
linked to ebay accounts. We both have account now and have had them
in the past (I have a few limited about 6 years ago).

So.. the solution.

• We bring a friend on as Secretary/Treasurer.
• Get company credit card in their name (we're still liable for debt obviously).
• Open new ebay and paypal account in company's name but put down secretary/treasurers contact details incase we need proof of ID.
• Credit card on file is in secretary/treasurers name. So it's clean of either mine or partners name.

It seem's pretty water tight.

But.. is it overkill? Do they really need to be treasurer? I was just thinking it meant that they'd be listed on the 'Memorandum of Association' documents which would make it super-easy and legit when coming to verify and limited accounts.

Would love some opinions on this.

I have plans to build 3 back up accounts like this so want to start on the correct path!

just do as you said get a few accounts as spares just sitting idle just in case other then that seems like you know what ya got to do :thumb:

I use a limited account for one of my stealth accounts
Haven't yet been asked for directors name.
You do need to put a main contact name when you open the ebay/paypal account, but that can be anyones
Just don't get linked bu IP address, business address, phone etc.

the expense of starting a company and the ongoing expenses every year would not be worth it

Just set up a sole trader account with the bank and you can call it what you want

Opened one at HSBC within 30 minutes, was ok with PP
