IP address - dial-up
 

Hi

I set up an Ebay account a few weeks ago but didn't add Paypal information. I created the account using a dial-up connection with an IP address of a certain area.

If I add Paypal to Ebay now, should I ensure that the IP address is located close to the area that I created the Ebay account with.

If that's the case then it's kind of hard, because with dialup it can be anywhere, I just connected to UK dialup but the actual IP was located in Slovenia!

it won't matter m8. my advice is to get a 3 dongle. different ip everytime

Yep I already have one for the IP purpose.

So you think that If I registered my Ebay account with an IP close to Manchester, then I register my PP with an IP in London say, then it won't matter?

Anyone else know about this?

yes it is important always use the address in your current city for eg: if I use address of london then I will better access my account within london and will not use from outside london. same like if I move to leeds I will change the address I entered in the paypal to leeds ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or new address and in ebay too and will make them primary or secoundry

Ok thanks. But what about logging into Ebay/PP using a broadband dongle?, you get a different IP every time, which I guess could be anywhere in the country.
Do you keep connecting until you get an IP in London for example?
