Ebay phone verification - glitch???
 

tried to verify an ebay seller account last night. attaching another acc to 1 that i already have. for some reason it couldn't verify the voip fone number i was giving it. verified with this number b4 & also tried it with my mobile & its ringing my house number fine. so just think there might be a glitch at their end???

tried several times to be told try again.

Hmm... This has happend to me twice, but it worked straight after I restarted my VOIP program. What service you using to recieve calls?

Are you receiving an error with ebay, or is the phone just not ringing?

an error message from ebay saying it can't verify phone number & obviously the phone doesn't ring. i ring the voip number from my mobile & my landline rings so the lines ok. just keeps asking me to try again.

using viopfone for my number. never had a prob b4

Does it instantly say it can't verify before it asks you for the pin number?

That happens to me all the time. As you've stated, there is nothing wrong with your phone forwarding. This happens when ebay just doesn't like the phone number. I think they have certain phone numbers that are black listed.... you probably just have one they don't like. try changing the number and using a new one

you might be right m8 but i've used this number for the 1st stealth account. this next stealth is the 1 i'm attaching to the 1st. same details execpt email addy. its not letting me make this 2nd one into a sellers account like the 1st one is using the same number as the 1st.

i.e. 2 ebay to 1 paypal

I'm sure that's exactly why it won't let you use this number though.

errr, interesting but done this before on my other accounts. i thought the whole idea was to give the same info if your creating another account in same house & same ip?

Ebay doesn't like the phone number either way... the only way to fix this with that account is to use a new number.

It happens to me about 1 out of 10 stealth accounts I make.

it shouldn't do i have had this happen a couple of times.

im trying to setup another sip account but it says offline on the status bit think thats why its not working any ideas people

If you have money then soho66 for another number

I'm my experience some voip number don't activate straight away, when i create one i usually wait 24 hours to be on the safe side
