blocked messages to buyer questions via email

anyone getting this message, got it on several accounts when trying to reply directly to buyer questions like I normally have no probs doing...

Oops. We weren't able to send your message to blah, because the email address you used to send this message, blah@yahoo.com, isn't linked to your eBay account.

Had that happen way back - was pretty random. Check your eb ay stat to make sure your e-mail is up to date.

do you guys think, never reading (allowing beacons from pictures) or clicking on links within those general emails that eBay and PayPal send, could be the reason?
