china shipping costs

Have any of you guys been hit with higher shipping fees lately?

If so do you simply increase your prices to accomodate or just accept that you wont clear as much profit per piece?

I totally agree, I wouldnt mind finding out how much ems is per kilo, its actually getting tempting to buy wholesale from UK, you are paying more but you get it even quicker.

I think they make profit on the shipping costs which is fine up to a certain point, but it cuts profits.

Here's a link to postage costs. Not sure if you can make sense of it though cos i cant.

My supplier from chian told me that the EMS has risen up by 20% its costs to EUrope. He told me because of Bad Weather and Christmas Congesion!

Do not know if it makes sense, but I sometimes buy, Half EMS shipping and Half by Hongkongpost ... so I will save up on shipping.

Hong Kong post at the moment has a huge backlog so I'd avoid going by them. During times of large congestion Chinese postage companies, like EMS, do increase their prices so that they can deal with the demand. I guess if you work it out it allows for more man power etc.

When you get your package from EMS, look at the invoice... it states how much it cost to send.

There has Been a 15%-20%--Increase in Shipping Across the Board,,,Fedex and DHL say it is Temporary,,,Who Really Knows,,,

As for Raising Prices,,,Well,,That Really depends on what it is you are selling and How much your Competitors are Getting for the Same item,,,If Your Competitores are Raising Prices,,Then By all Means, Go for it,,,You must also consider that by NOT Raising you May increase your Volume of Goods Sold,,

Remember the Most Important thing is to Stay Competitive with your Competition,,,
