Ebay - registering as a business.
 

I have been stopped from listing a certain item for the next 30 days which sucks! I have tried changing the title of the auction slightly and it hasnt worked.

Below the bad news it says that i can upgrade to a business account and this may fix the problem?

My question is have any of you guys done this and did it work for you? And if i upgrade my account do i need to provide any paperwork or proof of the business and will my details be forwarded to the tax office or anything?

Has the account been open for more than 2 months? does it have more than 10dsr's? If not then a definate no go.

on some of my previous ebay (stealth) accounts i found that this led me into troubles and eventually the two i was running from one paypal account got messed up, not through ebay but through paypal asking me to register it as a business account and provide more info....is your paypal account a business account?

how many listing have you got up ?

you usually get that message when you are listing too much things or taking too much money.


i usually let accounts like that alone untill some listings end and use another one.

The account is about 3-4 months old. I have 6 feedbacks on the account. I'm not sure if my paypal is registered as a business. I will check when i get home.

Ok, with an account like this i cant see why upgrading to a business account would help the problem - all i see this as is an attempt by ebay to extract more information about you before suspending the account.

This depends greatly on the item, its value and the reason they gave you for removing it. It could be a simple thing as them requiring a returns policy for that type of item - which a business account would do. If youy dont want to discuss this publicly id be glad to help via pm.

It would be fine, do it if you want to, no additional info is required, no they do not forward it to TO.
