Account deleted 2009, getting thank you emails at end of 2010?

I just checked my emails and found an email from eBay that says.

thank you for using eBay for Charity to support your favourite causes on eBay.

It was sent on 22nd December 2010 and the account was closed on 22nd March 2009.

What is going on?.

yes, same thing happened to me and I have three ebay account and all of them were closed but they keep sending me emails. Very annoying and I think the only purpose they are trying to do is to track your IP address and cookies.

The Charity mailing list is its own "active" list and does not not get updated with accoutn closures.
