Parcelforce help needed
 

Usually I don't use them. Had a parcel come in and I've got this message

I know I've got to pay... do they send me a letter, i can't go to the deport...

do you mean customs charges? There should be a phoneline on a letter they send, you call to pay

Parcelforce or Parcelfarce as they are known also by, are the worst delivery company out there.

I had a shipment which took over 30 days to arrive to me. They tried to make out it had no house number on the package and so they immediately returned to sender (in China). They were supposed to hold it for 7 days for me to collect, but what they actaully do when "there is no house number" is try and steal the item. They hold it in there possession for a few weeks, and if you dn't complain like crazy, they will eventually steal it for themselves.

They got about 25 mad phonecalls from me and eventually I managed to get one of them to release the package to me.

Suffice to say, I will never use them again. :nono:

DHL is the way forward. Good company.

The charges Parcelfarce want is probably for themselves, another one of their scams or "officially" it will be a customs charge.

Dhl IS a risk now or not? Many seller from dhg@te they do not used this now Army too

i send around 1200 parcels per month and I have these to say:

DHL UK domestic is not too good they loose and damage things....I insure my items so I'm ok.
They keep delivering to me items that don't belong to me,never bought and never paid for them. Tracking show some address problem, and they just re-address them to my address for unknown reason... possibly because i send and receive so manyparcels :confused:
I don't complain....they are usually nice stuff. before christmas they delivered to me a projector and 2 days later a projector screen.....I kep them for one month....nobody claimed them....so i installed thin in my living room :pound: good stuff!!!
DHL international is OK, and their express air service is exceptional!.

Fedex UK: avoid at all costs!!
Fedex international: OK

TNT: never send anything fragile with them!!!! Even if not too fragile, they will brake it! For solid stuff they are so-so both domestic and international.

Parcelforce UK: Acceptable, and have good coverage.
Parcelforce worldwide: outside EU ok for exporting, but avoid on importing they are slow and don't seem to be bothered! inside the EU they are GLS and some other smaller companies..... I'd like to avoid but they are so cheap for some EU destinations ( like greece bulgaria, romania, germany) . also they pay very fast if they loose a parcel.

DPD: seem ok in the UK for small parcels, but I never used for large parcels!
DPD europe is as good as Parcelforce but they cover more areas like croatia and are cheap in the areas where parcelforce is more expenssive and vice versa. Strange!!!!

UPS: Best courier there is worldwide!!! they have lost only one parcel in 3 years, never damaged anything!:thumb:

City-link ....is great very flexible company for UK deliveries.

Hermes is rubish and its only good for very low value items.

HDNL was bad, but we will see what happens now that it becomes YODEL.

UKmail .....has limited coverage and I never really use.

Nightfreight: I never use, because there are much cheaper alternatives.....I don't know how they are still in business.
