Default Selling on Ebay without Paypal.

Is there any way to sell on Ebay but NOT have the buyers pay into paypal?

Ive tried sending emails to the buyers asking them to send me there email address so I can manually invoice them from my merchant account but 90% just pay through the ebay link to paypal, then I've to refund them and invoice them etc.

Ive had stealth accounts get limited and cant be bothered going to the bank to create more accounts.

I thought about creating an Ebay and Paypal account, linking the two then listing my goods and then closing the Paypal account before the listings end?

You could turn off paypal payments in your account settings, but you'll probably get less buyers thay way.

No you can't do that!

To sell on eBay UK you have no choice but to accept PayPal.

Have you tried this?

When listing an item add a PP address as an email add of yours that is no longer linked to a PP account.

Buyer will pay through PP but the funds will show as unclaimed on there account. They will get in touch with you to ask why you have not claimed the funds.

Explain your having a problem with your account and ask them to cancel the payment and you will send them an invoice.

Not how i would do it but it will do what your asking.

Scenario:

new seller with brand spanking new paypal account tries lucrative's suggestion.

Buyer sends the funds.

Nothing happens.

Buyer who is anal retentive thinks I am being scammed. I'm going to protect my £10. I'll ring paypal or ebay. The AR buyer does just that.
Paypal look at the seller's account or ebay look at the seller's account.
Oh shock horror, there's no paypal attached & so that's broken our rules.
Let's suspend the account because this seller is bad............

If you are not going to use this method yourself, dont suggest it to others without thinking of consequences, please.

Hmm,

I see your point but you dont have to have an account with no PP atached, just edit the PP address for payment when making the listing. I know you can do this as in the past i have, its just not my ideal method as its extra communication which i dont want to have to do.

For low volume it should be ok though, especially if you just contact the buyer directly straight away. It basicly allows you to list without the risk of a buyer sending you PP funds that will jst end up being held.

But yeah with eB there is no way around anal buyers.

You are missing the point.
The aim is to get the accounts to LAST, not be hit because of a variation of doing it a different way.

If you are not prepared to do that on your own accounts then try not to recommend a practice to others that might cause their account to go down.
