Why vary my name?
 

Hi there,

There's probably a very easy answer to this question that I'm missing?....in Ebay Stealth there is a big section on changing names, nicknames and using other people's names. However, at the end of the section the Guide states..."Let me add that you WILL NOT be linked to another Ebay or Paypal account by name alone......it takes something specific"

So why am I bothering to set up any accounts other than in my own name as the Guide says it doesn't matter???

I'm puzzled and am just about to create some stealth accounts, so any replies will be appreciated.

You should vary your name to limit your RISK of being linked. It is just another tactic to remain as stealth as possible

Ebay surely uses some type of Point like system to link new accounts to suspended one.

Say for example Ebay looks for 20 points to link a new account together with a Suspended one, having the Same exact Name on the Accounts will give you say,, 2 Points,,, having a Similar Name gives you 1 point,,,

other similarities add more points,,as you get closer to 20 the likelihood that the 2 accounts are linked grows,,when you reach 20 points,,,BAM,,,Suspended

That is why Name alone will not link you,,but it does help link you No Doubt.

Now I am NOT Saying that this is positively what Ebay is doing,,But I bet it is Close to something like the example that I just Gave above
