parcelforce awaiting customs clearance

hi everyone.

so i ordered something from the US =}, a iphone 4 infact. here is the current status:

30-03-2011 17:54 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance
30-03-2011 17:53 International Hub Awaiting clearance - information needed from addressee
28-03-2011 19:48 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance
28-03-2011 19:39 International Hub Received in destination country

has you can see it has been in the UK for sometime, just wondering why is this happening as i have never had this problem before, usually i pay a customs charge.

thanks

How did this turn out idiotbay?

shadow 05-07-2011 08:37 AM

It's been in the UK 2 days.. lol?. This is nothing. It will turn up.

ShadyOne 05-07-2011 12:14 PM

^^ Just because a package arrives in its destination country it does not guarantee it will be released from customs.

...? where did i say it is guaranteed too be released. It is very likely it would. 2 days is not long at all, and no reason to post a thread worrying.

Let me know how this turns out.I recently bought a Ipod Classic 160GB from the states and was charged 50€ by customs. Let me know how you get on! ;)

You will get a letter telling you what to pay.

idiotbay 05-30-2011 07:59 AM

yeh that parcel took long because it was declared as a gift, i had to send invoice showing the cost of the item, then had to pay customs fee

idiotbay 05-30-2011 08:01 AM

i bought another iphone from Canada, it was declared proper this time full value. Here is the status :

Date Time Location Tracking Event

02-05-2011 17:15 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance
02-05-2011 17:13 International Hub Received in destination country
01-05-2011 13:31 Heathrow Airport Received in destination country
29-04-2011 13:52 MONTREAL Forwarded for export
27-04-2011 20:03 Delivery Agent - CANADA Collected from customer

Does anyone no why customs is holding it for so long ? its almost been a month

or,google it,see what comes up

or perhaps try here saynoto0845.com

good luck mate!

idiotbay 05-30-2011 03:57 PM

^^ thanks for the advise , how will that website help ?

GTB 05-30-2011 04:06 PM

you type in the name of the company/organisation,or you type in the phone number you were given and it will give you other numbers you can ring, not always but its worth trying

you may get a direct line to someone who can deal with you quickly and efficiently

good luck bud!

stealthmaster 05-30-2011 05:30 PM

Looks like there holding your item for whatever reason Customs have, I would investigate your problem and resolve it swiftly might be an error. There for it's a bit strange holding an item for nearly a month?.

Stealth Master
