changing bank account numbers...
 

I have read a previous thread that mentioned it is possible to phone/visit the bank and ask to change bank account numbers. I have now tried with my Santander/Halifax/Natwest/Cooperative pp banned cuurrent accounts and they have all said that the account needs to be closed down and then a new one opened up, but then they realise i have three currents and don't see the need for opening a new one.

I have used various excuses and none so far have worked. Has anyone had and luck with this?

I have three current accounts with all of the above banks, should i close the account and reopen a new one in 6 months?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Don't the banks have access to some sort of central database that displays how many accounts people have opened? :help:

I would say you should try savings accounts etc but the banks may get :suspicious:

So you havn't mentioned Stealth to them? :spy:

anyway no i havent mentioned stealth to them....dont think that would go down too well!

there will definately be people on here with more than 12 current accounts!!!

as for savers, last time i checked on the forum there are no savers which have the DD mandate needed for PP. i have tried halifax and natwest savers and they get kicked after a month or two...

Everyone is tempted to do it thought init! Hoping they would just say something like "oh your another PayPal user, sure we will do that for you..."

I know it is just funny, imagine thinking of having that many visa cards before stealth! :lol:

I added a NatWest savings once the 180 day limit passed and I used it to withdraw money, then it got kicked off about a couple weeks after.
