Paypal and cash ISA

Hi there, has anyone tried to withdraw funds to a UK cash ISA?
As far as I know all ISA have a normal-looking e-saving sort code & account number so in theory I don't see why it shouldn't work. Anyone tried it..?

It would be cool to add to this year ISA a quick £650 from a temp Paypal acc.

Dont bother with lloyds isa... thats all I know.

ISA's dont accept the DD so I doubt most would work.

However I believe there may be certain ways around it but not sure if it would work in the long term.

Hi there,
I know ISAs don't accept DD. I meant it as a quick non-verified withdrawal (£650 limit then dump it). This method works with most e-savers in the UK.
Any input?

I got a PM today, just wanted to share the reply:

as far as I know when you open a brand new pp account (to any name) it is obviously un-verified but you still have £650 to withdraw to a bank account.
If you go to "withdraw money" it will prompt you to add a bank account as you don't have one yet. You enter the details of your e-saver ticking where it says "saving" (there is actually the option to withdraw to a saving account) and initiate the withdrawal. It can be on any name it doesn't matter as long as the bank acc/sort code match (an the name of the bank with the address too).

This way you can normally withdraw £650 before you have to verify it. Once I reach the limit I usually dump the pp acc and open a new saver online to be linked to a new paypal account ready to accept it. £650 after £650... been doing it for over a year using 6 ebay accounts, multiple pp acc and several e-savers. It doesn't generate a huge amount of money but it is quite painless, no verifications, phone calls etc...

The downside is that you cannot sell in foreign ebay sites as the pp acc is not verified, also being the pp acc quite new sometimes you get the 21days hold (depending on the performance of the ebay acc) and you end up with A LOT OF e-savers with £650 each.

Apart from the above this system seems to work OK to make some cash money.
The only bank I got a withdrawal rejected from so far is the yorkshire building society, all the other e-savers have accepted happily their share of withdrawal with mis-matching names.

In my opening post I was asking if it is possible to link a cash ISA as in the system described above. I know the e-savers don't care about a mis-matching name but how about the ISAs..?

i have used isa's and most as far as i know accept direct debits, only thing i dont like about them is you have to give your NI number to open one.

asphyx you must get through a lot of savers then.

Also are you using new ebay accounts with each one of those paypal accounts and just ditching them too then?
