Ebay 30 days selling restriction

Hello everyone.
I am new in here....new on ebay as a seller.
I have been trying to find an answer here but seems a bit harder.
Here is my problem.
As i said i am new on ebay and i have made a few mistakes until i got my account restricted for one week.
After one month i have made another mistake and got my account restricted for 30 days.
Now...i don't want to lose the account. I don't have too much feedback (around 130 100%).
What options do i have?
I want to leave it for a while...for a few months.
Is it wise to open a second account with the same details and sell?
What would happen if i will make one single mistake on the new account?
Will it (the second account....both) get suspended because of the mistakes made with the other account?
Later on I will try the ebay stealth advice but right now i would like to know what choices do i have...
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you

This could work out, though their are also limits/restrictions place on new accounts.

You should open a new account and build it up slowly from now on, so if this ever happened to one of your accounts again, you would have another good account to fall back on.

Are your running stealth or real accounts by the way Willy?

Your first move should be the stealth book!

willy1980 04-16-2011 11:29 PM

Hello.
Thanks for the fast response.
I am running a real account.
I have been reading everything in here and i got so scared of all the things that could happen to e bay sellers...
I will try the stealth book as soon as i will get some clear advice...This is the place where i should have come before starting anything on eBay.
So....I want to leave the account chill down. I will open a new account as soon as the 30 days restriction will be lifted and build it slowly. This real account has been verified. The pp people have verified every document they have asked. The 1900GBP has been lifted a while ago. And i am so desperate to keep it.
So...I am asking again. If i will open a new account (a real one), with the same details, on the same pp, will i have any problem if i will make one single mistake? Will they both be closed of that single mistake?
I also want a backup plan so, i will try the stealth option as well.
Thank you for your time.

Dude the exact same thing happened to me...my 30 days are up next week and im confident that i will be able to carry on selling again.... when the 30 days finish,it will automatically allow you to start selling again

We all wish we would have found this forum to understand e bay and pay pal, before we ended up getting suspended.

With you being so new to stealth you shoul read the ebook first.

You need to know everything about stealth before opening a stealth account because if your stealth gets suspended and you accidentally 'linked' it to your real account, then your real account will be suspended also.

An example being linked would be if you logged into your stealth account using the same IP as your real e bay account.

You could also open another real account with the same details as your current account, if your current e bay account has any problems like limits or violations.

It is a tough world out there on eb ay.
All i want is to create a second account, and start selling. I want to leave this account to chill for a while.
So here was my question....: will the second account be having any problems because of the suspensions on the first acct? Will it be suspended at the first mistake?
I think there shouldn't be a problem, but now i want to make sure is ok...that is why i am asking around...
Another one.. How much time does it needs for the mistakes to be 'forgotten' by the system? lol How long does it needs?

e bay are changing at the moment and getting a lot more strict on second accounts being opened to overcome your very problem of limits and restrictions.

I am unaware of the process e bay follow when they find this happening as it has not yet happened to me.

But with your 30 day suspenion on this account, their is a chance that they will find your new account and limit it until you sort your other account out.

What do you mean by forgotten? They are never forgotton by e bay but they are removed from the account after a certain amount of time i.e. 12 months for a trademark violation.

:peace:

p..s DO NOT expect to open a new account and start selling as normal, this will not happen.

willy1980 04-17-2011 02:02 PM

Ouch...12 months for a trademark is a lot of time.
I know i cannot open a second account within the 30 days restriction. I will just have to wait and see what will happen after the 30 days. BTW...there are only 7 days left.

I haven't got the specifics at hand at the moment, last year I got 3 months for a trademark violation, this year I got a 12 monther!!!

I will look into it now...for the specifics ;)

Only 7 days left, wait it out, you could then open a 2nd account under the same details if you were interested in the benefits.

However from what you have put in this thread, you should get stealth, read the forums and open a few stealth accounts.

Waste them and not your reall account! :thumb:

Yes Shadyone said it right,

and

Since its vero you are selling then you should build up a few stealth accounts.

willy1980 04-17-2011 10:55 PM

You are right..
Damn....
Thank you for the advice.

willy1980 04-25-2011 06:32 AM

Hello again.
Yesterday the 30 days expired and i have started to re-list some of my items.
None of them are ve ro items....
I have listed 4 and now i wanted to re-list another one. It takes me to the login page, I click on sign in button but nothing is happening. It takes me to the same screen over and over again.
Any ideas on what is happening?
I am able to sign in....but the problem comes when i want to re list something...
Thank you

willy1980 04-25-2011 06:34 AM

I am not able to list anything.
It takes me to the same screen....and it won't let me log in.

willy1980 04-25-2011 06:35 AM

Is a suspension on it's way ?

ShadyOne 04-25-2011 06:49 AM

Don't triple post willy!

Clear out your cache and cookies, that should solve it.

Has happened to me many times, this solved it.

willy1980 04-25-2011 07:37 AM

Thank you Shady!

please explain what vero is thx?

ShadyOne 04-30-2011 05:05 PM

^^^ You either do not sell branded items OR you must be new to eBay :D

paypalpains 05-01-2011 12:58 PM

Willy, click your seller dashboard, check for how long the restriction is in place for/ will be reviewed again. Your compliance level will have dropped and this will be reviewed at a specific time. You must avoid getting vero'ed again at all costs.

I would move on from that account for the vero items, keep that account in good standing selling legit things, and make some stealth accounts to help you with the other items for sale.

Themightycrow 05-01-2011 03:30 PM

i got a 30days for selling vero, when it went up i kept on selling everything except the VeRo Items

willy1980 05-16-2011 05:07 PM

Hello everyone.
I have just joined the club. Got my account suspended and even ebay owes me money lol
The problem is that i have a refund process with escrow as well and i cannot receive the money because paypal will not allow any payments in.
Anyone can give me some ideas please? It is not much...only 100USD.
A while ago, DHL has lost one of my parcels, valued at 300USD. After a long dispute with the seller, i won the right for 100USD back. Now, Pey Pol is closed, and i have no ideas how to receive the ammount. They say that the money will only be returned to the same pay pal account. That's horrible.
On the other side, my eboy account is closed as well and they owe me nearly 300 GBP !!! The same problem...pay pal closed= no way to receive anything.

Anyone has been in the same situation before? I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Just opened a bank account and trying to build a PP account in a few hours...(tomorrow, as now i am a bit tired...)

Regards

paypalpains 05-17-2011 04:22 AM

Call them, tell them what has happened and demand that they send you a cheque in the post. If they refuse, kindly explain that you will be contacting the FO and will see them in court to reclaim the money that is owed to you, however it should not result in you needing to do that, as long as your details for them to send the cheque to are legit, they should send it out to you. I have never experienced that before, so maybe someone with more experience can shed some more light , however that is how I would approach it.

willy1980 05-21-2011 02:44 PM

An update about refunds to closed PP accounts....
The refund went into the PP account. I guess you don't have to worry...
Now i have to see what is happening to the money that eb owes me.
Had a conversation with some angry EB employees and the refund process was started the day the account was closed. It will go to PP account.
Now...as a warning to everyone.... When a EB account is being closed, ask for the funds to be sent other way than PP.
My PP account was ok for another 2 days after the EB limitation.
Now i believe that i have to wait the 180 days.
I have told them that if PP will hold my funds for more than 30 days they will hear from me again. Now i am waiting to see what is happening. The refund process can take up to 30 days.
Hope that helps anyone in here....

willy1980 05-21-2011 02:52 PM

And another annoying thing. A few days after the limitation of PP account, i have received an email from PP saying that they have tried to remove funds from my bank account, but they couldn't. As a result, my bank account was removed from the PP account.
I did not speak with them yet. I am waiting to see what is happening with the money from EB.
Why would they want to remove anything from my bank account?
The day PP account went down, I have removed any direct debits to EB and PP.
I believe they are not able to get anything from me anymore....
But one thing is unclear....why would they want to get funds from my bank account? ....Or....that is the procedure to remove my bank account....??
I have no idea. I wil speak with them once the EB fees will go to them...

Sorry for the double post.... There are 2 different subjects....:yar:

ShadyOne 05-21-2011 03:20 PM

^ Was the bank account a saver?

willy1980 05-22-2011 12:32 AM

No. Was a regular account with HSBC....
But as i said, i have removed any direct debits linked to PP or EB....

paypalpains 05-22-2011 04:14 AM

EB will put the money into your PP account regardless of what ask them to do, they are dumb ar*ses

Yeah got ya!

Perhaps PP are alerted when your bank account on file no longer has the DD set up. I don't know enough about this but would like to, so somebody jump in and explain. This happens a lot, so I would like a more definitive answer.

willy1980 05-24-2011 02:09 AM

Good news guys.
As i said a few days ago, I have spoken with EB staff. I must have done something good because i have just received the money straight into my bank account. I have received the seller fees that they owed me.
Now there is only 120GBP left in the PP account.
The seller fees were the big concern....

So....I think i have cleared some questions with my experience and someone else will use the info here.

Now i will have to speak with PP people and see what will happen with the amount in the PP account....but i guess i will have to wait the 180 days.

I guess all we have to do is to find the right person when dealing with that kind of problems. I have had enough luck and the person was in a good mood that day.

Now i am a bit happier than yesterday.

Wish you all good luck !

Stigger 05-24-2011 09:16 AM

when you open your new eby account, open two or three (not all at same time) linked to the same PP, That way you can rotate accounts, some peole say it is not to open few eby account to one pp because if one goes down they all go down but this not always the case also you have much less chance of ebay account getting limited if you can :juggle:

ShadyOne 05-24-2011 03:19 PM

Awesome news Willy! Always good to see things working in real time.

If anyone does take this route, I would suggest NEVER getting in contact with ebay,EVER. They will see you have multiple accounts and you will get restricted, from my own experience with two 100% accounts.

Littlemorestealth 05-25-2011 07:00 AM

Is it against the rules then to have 2 or more accounts?

paypalpains 05-26-2011 03:02 AM

No it is not, however they will see it as suspicious activity and more than likely, not necessarily remove both accounts, has happened to me.
