ip address changes
 

hello everyone,

being on bt broadband and having a bet router with inbuilt modem the ip address cannot be changed.

the only other practical route is a proxy service and from some trials i have had they are fixed and do not work on all sites.

also they have been badly affecting my hotmail pages.

i would be really grateful for all advice on all or any of the above.

would rather not use a proxy unless anyone can recommend one and presumably uk based would be much better than overseas??

problem with a fixed proxy ip is if ebay find and suspend then having paid anual subscription would be wasted.

Can you explain why the bet router and inbuilt modem stops you being able to change your IP if your ISP is supplying a dynamic IP? thanks
