I've been using my Sky Broadband at home, I've used it with blocked accounts, but considering that it's so easy to get different I.P addresses, I've been restarting my router to get completely different I.P addresses in minutes.

Along with different user accounts, completely different details.

Also my location on the I.P address keeps moving, one minute it's in Bolton, the next Stoke-On-Trent, and so on.

I get really different I.P addresses like 9.10.943.12 and then 216.548.301.33

Is this enough to keep eBay and PayPal off my back?.

Also PayPal are asking for a copy of my bank statement, I only have a Prepaid Mastercard account, which is registered with my office addresses, they are going to send out a statement and a covering letter showing that I'm a client of theirs to remove the limits.

Oooh - that does not sound good to me - search around the forums - there's much better ways to do it than that. You are putting complications in where complications do not need to be.

Sorry hon - I misunderstood - I thought you were saying your account was at one address and the card at another.

Why do you need a letter then? Statement should be enough:suspicious:

They just send the letter along with the statement, that is what they have said on their website anyway.

So is this PP account in your real name?

No. But it's a start.

What else have you done, what sort of info have you not changed would be my question.

I have used my real name, d.o.b, made a new user account, got a new I.P address, a new bank account, phone number

You may be linked back to your old account then as PayPal will realise your the same person.

Ideally you should of used a stealth name that matches your ebay account name. Is your ebay account in your real name?

Their is a chance that your account can last, having the same name and DOB is hardly stealth but it is not definitive of a persons ebay identity.

You should have used a name variation or nickname and a change of DOB though! Why did you not do this?

You have took the right steps in changing your user account, IP, phone number and address, so you have only slipped up on a few steps.

I did not change my name or d.o.b because of my passport which I might need to show eBay in the future and PayPal right now.
I will even be taking the pictures differently - different camera, different room etc.
Yes my eBay account is in my real name. I don't think I slipped up as many people have my name, the DOB well they can't really link just with that one piece of info.

Well I DID change my name and DOB....on EB and PP.

Changing pics, cameras, passwords, memorable info etc etc are the fine tuning of stealth. But the big pieces need to be in place first!

Well, it's all set up now, surely I won't be suspended their is very Little for them to go on.

Ebay and PP do not need any information "to go on" for you to get suspended, they can do it for no reason whatsoever. When that is the case, giving them any ammunition to link you is not a good idea.

It is called "going stealth" for a reason, complete anonymity, reduces the risk as then the only reason they have is no reason.

It is one more reason above no reason at all, they do not need a reason whatsoever, on top of that you have given a name, which is associated with an account already down. So yes they very well could do.

of course, it's eBay/PayPal thinking they are above everyone including the law.
So I could be an Innocent person suspended because I same the same name as somebody already suspended
That is really annoying!

If you moved into my house used your normal details, you would get blocked for the address even if all the other details were different. So yes even if you are innocent you can get suspended, moreover it would be highly unlikely to get re-instated.

All details can be turned into stealth details, even utility bills photo ID's etc , think about it, and the answer will come to you

Before stealth I managed to get months out of accounts that had almost identical info as my suspended accounts :lol: :doh: Turned into weeks and days though, the more times I got suspended.

It is still like playing russian roulette with your accounts everyday but like you have mentioned, a name and DOB is not enough. But as Paypalpains has said, this is ebay and paypal, they do as they choose.

your name and dob are the same and maybe there are not many people with the same name and dob as you I would guess none.

Their are a lot more people sharing the same name and DOB than you think, it's called identity theft :D

I just thought about this, I had another account with my real name and DOB as of the mail forwarding place, and that account only went down as I was ill and could not pay for my items, I had that account for 3 months and was selling really well.

PayPal did limit me, but that was as I went from selling stuff like wallets to selling my Mum's laptop for her, but that was sorted after a quick call phone to confirm the item was delivered by Parcelforce.
