paypal expired card

quick question, i have a paypal and ebay acount 9,000 feedback all good, problem is it was my friends account and we havent spoken for a year or two, ive got my own bank account added and verified but it still has his old CC on the account.

Just had a n email from them saying CC is about to expire, so i need to add a new one (i have 3 or 4 of my own ) but when i attempt to change the card the option to change the surname isnt there and it still lists HIS name and i cant change it. What is the best way to do this ?

The PP account is still in his address and name incidentally, but the bank account i added is in my name and address

Changing names on a well-established account...that's kind of crazy and ASKING to be limited/suspended.

Get a card and register it under the same name of the account.

This. And do it as soon as possible. Once it's expired, they will limit your account very quickly.

I agree with rsot...changing details at this point would probably be suicide for the account.

rsot "Get a card and register it under the same name of the account" but doesnt the card have to be in the name of the paypal account holder ? if so i cant get one...can i ? or does any valid unnlinked card work ?

Um, get the card and when you add its details on paypal put the same name as the account & new numbers. ;)
