Paypal Funds Withdrawal in different name ?

Can you still withdraw funds to a bank account in a total different name to the Paypal account name?

Imakemoney 05-15-2011 08:44 AM

Yes - dependant on what bank your with - however some banks dont accept incoming debits from 'stealth' names, but most do.

Paypal cant see the name on your bank account due to data protection laws.

What bank are you with?

digzz 05-15-2011 08:50 AM

I have 2 Paypal accounts in different names. I withdrawed them out to Halifax & Nationwide. I got a bit scared as when I was entering the account details Paypal states if not in right name it will come back to the Paypal account because of name differences.

Imakemoney 05-15-2011 08:57 AM

No dont worry about that - there just trying to scare you

Both those banks are fine go ahead and enter your stealth details :peace:

ShadyOne 05-15-2011 09:35 AM

Also, are they current accounts or savings accounts? And are they in use with any other PayPal account?

Savings ...no not in use in any other account.

ShadyOne 05-15-2011 10:53 AM

^ Thought so, oh well, just add them and try to withdraw.

I have always managed to withdraw to a savings account, though some people have not had such success.

Paypal Withdrawal to Bank Account in different name

:juggle:Hi,What about US banks? I am in USA and want to withdraw to my Chase bank account. The names on Paypal and bank accounts are different(not stealth). Is it safe to do? Previously,I requested a check from Paypal to the same account with no problems but it takes too long to receive funds. Is it better to withdraw to checking than savings account? Are there any alternatives to Paypal withdrawal like Xoom that's no longer avail? Thank you in advance.

Imakemoney 05-18-2011 12:14 PM

Your best off searching the forum for US banks that accept stealth debits - we are all UK users in this thread so have little knowledge with regard US banks.

Savings accounts seem to be pointless now as they just get kicked back because they dont accept the DD mandate.

Chase checking is fine.

Max_Corporation 05-18-2011 09:33 PM

Thank you.Any experience with TD or Capital One banks?

unkown5454 05-19-2011 04:02 AM

Heard many times on the forum that both TD and Capital One are good, but I do not have personal experience yet.

Imakemoney 06-07-2011 12:31 PM

chances are your saver will be kicked after a short period anway...

iLOVEmoney 06-07-2011 12:51 PM

ImakeŁ,
what about Lloyds tsb?
I just applied for a second acc today and they gave me a meeting for tomorow,
also when opening bank acc, shall i just tell them that my ebay and paypal are in a friends name etc? and that we both share the acc?

regards

Imakemoney 06-07-2011 12:53 PM

Lloyds has been fine for stealth with me in the past.

Did you apply online?

No dont mention anyone else why would you need to?

iLOVEmoney 06-07-2011 01:05 PM

No i went down to the bank...
is it easiest to apply online for other bank acc's?
also i was informed that Lloyds share names with paypal?
anyone confirm this or can confirm differently

GrannyT 06-07-2011 01:10 PM

I would never use Lloyds for stealth again. I have only used current accounts from Lloyds but they sent a transfer back and it resulted in my account going you know where. It was some years ago. Why use something that is not certain when others are?

Not good stealth - not necessary at all - use search button and find out what you can open on line
:pop2:

iLOVEmoney 06-07-2011 01:35 PM

thanks for your help...
I will open a natwest instead... try opening online see what the process is like.
kind regards
thanks GT

ShadyOne 06-07-2011 01:37 PM

^ It is easy to open accounts, too easy, you have to make sure it doesn't become an addiction :p

You should have used a different approach first mate, like use an excuse for them change that account, Something like you have split with a partner and she knows all your details, your worried she will use them on-line, walk in and do it they usually sort it out there and then, there are loads of excuses you can you use, then open another account , Rinse and repeat.

Another thing, next time you create stealth use a variation of your own FIRST name, then when you attach the b acc to PP you just add the first initial and last name so when your ready to withdraw the money transfers in j.smith, so if paypal is James and you bank john it goes a lot smoother than if name is totally different becuase the banks automated sysmtem does not question it at all.

plimsole 06-07-2011 04:09 PM

I have opend personal accout, business account and also a clubs and societies treasurer account (like a business accoun for none profitmaking club just raise fund for expenses) all with LLoyds tsb. Im ready to test them under stealth soon

ShadyOne 06-07-2011 04:19 PM

^ They should be fine. Only one way to find out....

GrannyT 06-07-2011 04:23 PM

From experience - be very very careful with Lloyds!!!

ShadyOne 06-07-2011 04:36 PM

Yeah Lloyds is meh, from stealth to normal service. Better banks out there, though I am sure stealth 'should' be fine with their accounts.

Markk 06-07-2011 05:13 PM

My bank account just got locked because of recieving funds from different names. I have to go in with ID and a utility bill now. This was the BoS.

Stigger 06-07-2011 05:17 PM

Doing it like i have mentioned above will work with any bank even the ones that are not supposed to work with PP

why

the bk systems are automated, if you transfer in your own full name or initial/initials and last name it just goes through as no bells are triggered, now when you transfer money to your account in different name to yours it should be pulled for manual verification (by a human) 9 times out of ten they let it slide but some don't and some banks are known not to work PP but thats because those banks reject it at manual verification because of name difference but not with the above method.

Got a nice Halifax Easycash running right now. Was going to try a Bank of Scotland Easycash. Anyone know if this is all good for PP?

Some people have said that you can have multiple Halifax Easycash Accounts. Is that right?

you can have multiple both and both good with pp.

Thanks Markk and Tizwoz. Sorry to hear about the locking. Was the name on PP totally different to on BoS? Are BoS very fussy?

Yeah, totally different and I withdrew a lot. I've changed my ways now though.

but none of that matters because of what i have explained above.
so any bank is good to go or should be, i have only had one problem with one bank but that was unrelated.

Just read in the TAC of Natwest, it said that details may be shared if any suspicous or fraudulent behaviour is noticed...
They always give you ifs and buts in TAC.
I dont like it.

Stigger 06-07-2011 05:42 PM

read my pm mate.

Imakemoney 06-07-2011 05:50 PM

There are certain banks I would reccommend more than others but from other peoples experience yeah Lloyds may not be the best - however it worked fine for me until i got asked to provide docs by paypal.

Only in very exceptional cases would the bank share your details with paypal. It comes under data protection laws.

Stigger 06-07-2011 05:54 PM

as i have just descrided in this thread, any bank should do.
