WARNING to stealthers who are lifting limits

Ok I may be wrong with this but:

If you are trying to lift the £1900 limit on your account, make sure to (slowly) drain funds from your account before doing so, and pay off any eBay seller fees before hand.

Not just lifting limits - but any contact with paypal that causes them to scrutinise your account, otherwise you risk limitation.

The penny has just dropped  that paypal's business model requires them to hold onto your funds for as long as possible, even if it costs them your future business (on that account at least). I had thought that operating your eBay account as a model eBayer (100% non VERO, TRS standard customer service) would afford some protection against limitation - I was wrong .

Just another reason to keep your paypal balance to a minimum.

Not sure what you are saying here OP - no matter how you run your account you are still going to his the 1900 limit - I do agree about getting the filthy lucre out though
:pop2:

Ideally try and lift the limits before you begin selling.

But yes if you've already sold on the account dont get tempted to withdraw it down to 0 when getting close to the 1900 limit.

Still withdraw slowly in smaller amounts otherwise in my experience paypal will just reverse the withdrawal and you'll have no money so slowly does it.

General agreement but there are a lot of factors in PP's risk analysis of your account.

unless you are selling hard and fast on new account with large amount items then you should get the request to lift the limitation some time before it reaches 1900 to avoid disruption of your account, If you are selling big and fast it can reach way past the 1900 limit before you get a request.

Run multiple accounts, leave the limits in place on some and begin to sell and make some income, remove the limits on a few of your accounts only. This would be a good approach when you first start stealth.

How do you lift the £1900 limit on your account? What does paypal ask you to do?

Apple on Head 06-01-2011 04:33 AM

They ask you to confirm what you do, i.e. buying and selling estimates per month, type of purchases etc.

They also ask you to confirm your identity and address, providing photo i.d. and utility bills etc. Like Shady said, run a few accounts and stay under the radar on some of them.
