Ebay Turbo Lister. What have I done?

I have today downloaded ebay turbo lister for one of my user accounts which containts my stealth ebay account. Have been getting to grips with it and have scheduled quite a few listings for the next few days. I did upload one listing straightaway. Will I be ok to use this turbo lister just for this one user account. I have just read that it is not recommended to use it. But will I be ok to use just for this one user account. I intend to try auctiva for my other user accounts and stealth accounts in future as I don't want to get linked between accounts. Anybody any suggestions. Just want to mention what a great forum this is and has given me loads of help in the past.

My suggestion would be to get turbolister off of your machine, clear cookies etc., and start again. That is one piece of garbage you do not want on your pooter. That's IMHO

But how will ebay know or link me if I just use turbo lister for one stealth ebay account? Will I be ok to use it just for the one account and not for my other stealth accounts?

it is ebay software, so best not to, in case it gets hidden in a folder you cannot see and leaks or is shared somehow to other users. look at panopticclick, see it it is viewable on other users.

I agree totally with Oompah and stand by my first post on this thread:pop2:

Try Auctiva now instead of in the future.

Yes I will try auctiva and sign up for their 30 day trial. Just a bit worried because I have uploaded one item with Turbo Lister that eBay will find out some info about me. I hope not and I can get rid of it on my computer before it's too late.

am avoiding turbolister myself as well, it must be intrusive as it is eb software and they are a very intrusive company it seems!

I have been using auctionsplash as its free until i am turning over enough to justify paying for auctiva, and its okay, the listings look good, but not as user friendly as turbolister

Sounds interesting. What is auctionsplash like? Have just spent ages trying to get to grips with auctiva! You are right it is not as user friendly as turbo lister!

what about biggerbids ?,Any here tried that?,i am using that..crapy but i dunno how secure is for multiple accounts :)

The thought of having a ebay program on my computer as my other stealths is just disturbing as it could possibly link ALL of them... I do use 3 computers but im just crazy like that.

auction splash is okay, more importantly it is free and you get quite a lot of images hosted for free.

Turbo lister it isnt though, the listings look nice and it is easy to use, just a bit slow, you have to upload listings one at a time, but very quick to duplicate listings etc.

Had a look at biggerbids, but it isnt free, so if i am paying then i will pay for auctiva as it has a very good name and is recommended for use with stealth, just uisng auctionsplash at the moment until i am turning over enought to justify paying for auctiva!

I've used Auctiva extensively, but need a tool to list more auctions, faster. TurboLister, with their ability to use .csv files seems to be the ticket.

I'm reading lots of paranoia over TurboLister, but not hearing from anyone actually claiming to use it with a stealth account, without hassle from eb ay.

I would think that using TurboLister within a seperate Windows user account, used only for a single stealth account, should be absolutely fine. Is anyone doing this?

isitworththestress 07-27-2011 01:16 AM

Turbo lister like a lot of programs crosses user accounts and just see what happens when you try to remove it and then run a search through your computer and delete what it leaves behind. It seems to be everywhere.

If auction splash would stop crossing borders and allow you to sign out without signing in then it would be worth using possibly adding a way to point to specific accounts would be a benefit also, but for the fact I use firefox.

But they both use a windows based browser and you have no way of knowing which windows account they are ordered to point or with turbo lister is it looking at all of them
