- - Nearly there.....
| darkstar45 | 06-13-2011 06:37 PM | Nearly there..... I have recently opened my new stealth account and nearly back on my way to selling again but have a question.
... I have opened the account in a legitimate friends name, totally new to ebay. New address, telephone number, email address etc etc. However, i have used MY bank account. This is not the same bank account as my limited paypal account, it is a spare bank account that i rarely use.
When i signed up for the new stealth paypal, in my friends name with my bank account number, i have used my friends name and address on the billing address with MY account number and sort code on the direct debit mandate. Do you think that my bank will reject this and therefore Paypal will not accept it for verification or will it not be checked??
Obviously i can't add my address as it is linked to a limited account........ |
| GrannyT | 06-13-2011 06:40 PM | You look good to go but (and there's always a 'but') you really don't want to be involving friends in your stealth
For all that you are looking good
:pop2: |
| darkstar45 | 06-13-2011 07:15 PM | My friend is more of a 'new aquainted business partner' :) |
| Alps_a somewhatlegend | 06-14-2011 01:59 AM | Yep... you look good to go.
I recommend having 1 or 2 backup accounts so if anything does happen, you can still carry on your business on the other accounts. |
| JRYAN34 | 06-14-2011 03:11 AM | they cant see the name on the bank account nor can they request it for security reasons. you are good, but if the "business partner" relationship ever starts to go sour, switch names, addresses, and get a po/ups box. |
Indeed - have a few backups going. |
| Imakemoney | 06-14-2011 10:35 AM | Using friends and familys details can always lead to troubles down the line - never the less good luck!
And as rsot and GT say get some back-up accounts ready.
Spreading sales is the key to making decent money while you get each account up and running properly. |
| JRYAN34 | 06-14-2011 10:44 AM | i would stay away from a friends or gf/bf's account. you know at one point it will go bad, and they could f you over in the heat of the moment. or you could f them over, and then the will f you back worse. just a lot of f'ing could happen |
| darkstar45 | 06-15-2011 06:21 AM | Cheers guys. Thanks for all the advice, its much appreciated!
Just wondering, should i use the same PayPal for both accounts if i open 2 stealth and also..... what problems could arise using a friends name????? |
| stealthmaster | 06-15-2011 06:31 AM | Well is your friends "Information" linked to any other previous suspended eBay/PayPal accounts?, if so eBay/PayPal will link the accounts and suspend them accordingly and promptly. |

| Stigger | 06-15-2011 08:32 AM | If the new eby account details match his old PP account and there is no linkage then your good to go.
i think its down to personal choice if you link two eby to one pp becuase if one eby account goes the rest linked tend to follow although its not always the case, others find it best to juggle like you do between stealths.
If it was me, i would open another pp and link a new eby account to that as your allowed more than one PP account, it just depends on wether this account is personal or business ???
hopefully it is personal at his real address, then you can open a business at same address OR if you open it at another address and one account goes down the other will not be effected.
he would need new card, new bk acc and so on

| stealthmaster | 06-15-2011 08:03 PM | You can link two eBay seller accounts to one PayPal account as long as it's OK and no discrepancy's on the eBay sellers accounts in question. |
You can link up to 8 if you can handle the action well. |
| ShadyOne | 06-16-2011 05:50 PM | ^ I would like to know of anyone doing this lol
Imagine getting one account suspended. Dominos. |
| Imakemoney | 06-16-2011 06:31 PM | I would not reccomend linking 8 to one PayPal.
I just think thats putting all your eggs in one basket. If your paypal account ever got took down then obviously so would all your ebay accounts. Therefore all that work on building strong accounts would just be wasted not to mention disruption to selling operations. |
| Stigger | 06-17-2011 03:38 AM | As above.
thats the reason i suggested opening another PP account first. From what i understand the said friend is leigit so there for he can make another PP account if he has another bk acc number.
The reason for this is that if one account get's taken down the other will remain working.
If he need to open other eby accounts then he can.
To answer shady's Q : I have one PP with 5 eby accounts i have another 3 PP account with 3 eby accounts linked but i dont use them all, all of the time.
I split a product line into 2 or 3 equal parts so there not all selling the same item on each account, if i see or get a problem on one of the eby accounts i move the items over to one or both of the other eby accounts to continue selling without interuption, i then buy and sell loads of cheap items on the account getting trouble to sort the account out, then relist on it, by trouble i mean a bad feedback or low dsr. | | All times are GMT -5.
