| | Paypal with Credit Card Hi guys,
Can I setup a UK paypal with a credit card? I have an unused credit card here but don't know if they will ask for sort code etc?
Anyone done this before?
Pro's and cons?
Cheers!:hail: |
| isitworththestress | 06-15-2011 07:31 PM | You need a bank account to open the account, direct debit and all that. |
| Imakemoney | 06-16-2011 06:41 AM | ^ Yep this is true.
Current accounts are the way to go for long standing stealth accounts.
This topic is covered in many threads use the search function above.
Bank accounts i would personally reccommend for stealthing from personal experience are as follows:
- Cooperative
- Natwest
- RBS |

Cheers!:hail: | Can be done. Sort code is needed AND a bank account needs to be added too.
Why? Well I talk in terms of l o n g lasting stealth accounts. tbf, I could care less about the make & lose types. No paypal means no money to me. I hate no money.
So an paypal account is best made using a credit card/virtual credit card, adding bank account.
To help you further I have thrown in a thread http://www.aspkin.com/forums/subscri...paypal-uk.html
You will not be able to read it until your subscription is activated. But it's got the juicy things to know. that means YOU beat paypal.
You know the troubles with that account just gone on the 180 day hold? There's every chance from NOW, if you do stealth, l o n g term, efficient stealth, the account might have less troubles.
Word to the wise. Until you are 1000% sure of the procedure do not make an account. Make an account on paper. Post the plan here. We'll fine tune it. Much much easier, down the track to post then create, rather than create, then correct. Two words to worry about link & flag...
Good Luck :pop2: |
The last line is solid advice by GB - just about account creation. If you start discussing how to sell this and that well....we shall see |
| ShadyOne | 06-16-2011 05:33 PM | GB is bang! on with the 'long term' approach and words to the wise.
Just don't spend too long doing the research, actually applying what you have learnt just seems to further your understanding tenfold. Might not have that worded as best I could, research is important, it's just that carrying out what you are learning with stealth just makes you go DING DING DING! ;)
Presenting your first move/plan to the forum is a great idea for anyone new. |
guys, thanks for the great advice, really appreciate it.
to give an update:
i've created a new ebay account, just changed my 1st name slightly. All good.
i'm getting a new bank account today so will have that to use for Tuesday!
shall I wait until I verify the bank before selling?
cheers |
| Stigger | 06-17-2011 11:53 AM | Guess that is personal choice again, some people do things differently to others.
If you want the account long term, i would suggest buying several things over the next few weeks/months while listing one or two things you have lying around before moving on to the real reason your there, even then don't go like a bat out of hell because some time has passed, list slowly and gradually, to give you some idea the accounts i want to keep it take me about 6-7 months to get upto full speed of around 200 lisings. |
| Imakemoney | 06-17-2011 11:58 AM | Yep agreed personal choice thing is that.
If you want to play it safe and are planning on building a long term stealth account I wouldnt start selling anything until paypal account is verified.
As Tiz states buying a few household items you need can be a good way of getting a few feedback initially.
After that start looking at selling - a lot of people say leave that 30 days to be on the safe-side but ive started selling sooner and had no problems, nothing high risk or VeRo though I would advise. |

in all my years of trading if i have learnt anything, it's that, thats the wrong attitude, your just digging your own grave.
There is no life in vero/high risk items, it's all quick buck, i started selling that stuff 15 years ago and quickly realized if i wanted to stay online i needed to sell quality products and open my own websites, ebay will allways be a second income. for people selling that stuff time is running out, it is getting much harder and will continue to do so, im not dissing you or what you do, im just trying to give you some sound free advice.
Good Luck. |

But I know what i am doing & what I want. | Your welcome, I'm glad about that although i think you may be seeing the small picture instead of the big one, i think maybe one day you will realize what I'm saying and i don't mean in a month or two when this account is closed but a few accounts after that, the choice is yours to take and my problem is i think too much and open my mouth when its not really needed.
Anyway good luck and happy stealthing. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:15 AM. | |
