Nearly reached £1900 limit

Hey everyone,

I'm coming close to the £1900 paypal limit and wondered if i start listing new items on my ebay account using a different paypal address is this okay or could paypal and ebay click on? The other paypal address is in a different name?

I'm right in thinking once the paypal account gets limited then the ebay account if suspended?? Or can i keep listing?

Thanks

A good idea - but - before you begin make sure you FULLY understand how to set up and run a stealth account. It will save you lots of heartache further down the line.:pop2:

Considering ebay/paypal share info, there's a reasonably good change they might work out something.

What they might work out is you are trying to bypass something.

Not the brightest idea I've read to date.:pop2:

Obvious but you need to be able to succesfully lift the limits on your PP account.

Instead of messing with 'this' and 'that' as a way around their policies.

Lifting this limit is part of making a solid account. None of this using different eBay and PayPal accounts with different names, email addresses etc

Sorry OP - I misread your original post - I take back what I said - you cannot circumnavigate the £1900 limit. Either deal with the limit or start a new EB/PP combination - my apologies if I confused you.

Thank you for your advice

What do they ask for again to lift the limit??

ShadyOne 06-25-2011 08:14 AM

Documents they will ask for, at least, are confirmation of name and address i.e. Passport and Bank Statement.

m18mpa 06-25-2011 09:35 AM

Dont they ask for an invoice or something related??

Thanks again

what is this famous 1900 limit?

ShadyOne 06-25-2011 09:59 AM

^ Annual receiving limit on a UK PayPal account before confirming your identity with them.

smellybelly 06-25-2011 10:16 AM

right, ok. so people actually receive 1900 before they decide to confirm instead of confirming from the offset?

He doesn't know your situation smellybelly - every situation is different - depends on what you are selling, depth of stealth etc, etc, etc:pop2:

smellybelly 06-25-2011 11:00 AM

i wasnt speaking about my situation, i was speaking generally.

There is no set answer - the more you learn the clearer things become

I said what the general consensus is, follow any direction you want.

Many say that it is best to get the limit out of the way as soon as you open the accounts because then you do not need to worry about it.

Others prefer to get some money out of the PayPal account, before it is potentially closed.

In my case my paypal account got limited but ebay was still intact, so I could still list and 'sell' items on ebay, but I could no longer receive payments paid by paypal... so there is not much point there.

GrannyT 06-25-2011 01:06 PM

You will not be allowed to list any more until you have resolved any issues with Paypal. Remember Ebay and Paypal are the same organisation

And was this all because of the UK PayPal's procedure to confirm your identity?

Shows how important this stage is within stealth. A major sticking point for most stealthers.
