| | | trilade | 07-01-2011 05:11 PM | Got an ebay acc from a friend next door Hi!
My friend gave me her ebay UK account so i can keep up running my business.
There are no selling limits on her ebay UK account thats why i would like to sort it out and keep working on it.
She's got a paypal address aswell, but its an unverified paypal.
How can i make that paypal account work?
Everything is under her name, but she moved, lost her bank account details.
She was living next door a year ago.
Can i just keep her ebay acc linked with the unverified paypal, and request the money to a different, verified paypal address? (there is an option when you create auction)
And yes, i read stealth, but cant figure out anything to sort this out.
Hope anyone can help with a proper idea |
| GreenBean | 07-01-2011 06:00 PM | 'read stealth'? I'm not sure you have.
If you did, if you had READ ANYTHING on the forum, there are several recommendations about doing things the right way the wrong way.
Your are not looking good for the 'right way'.
In no real order
never do business with a friend
be careful of having an unverified paypal & sending to a verified one. Might cause a link.
reviving an account next door to a suspended account will raise flags.
You need to do a lot more to keep that business going. |
| download3000 | 07-01-2011 11:03 PM | All you have to do is make a new used(guest) on your PC, next change your ip(restart your modem go to ipburger.com check your ip then see if it changed if it does your set!
next buy a VCC from 1 of these guys here on the forum hook up to your paypal. 3rd your all set to buy with 100% no problems. Also for the phone verification just use a new # number aswell. I have done this with over 5 accounts and all of them are up and running selling items i only post a little on each 1, depending on the type of item you will have no problems selling. Trust me its easy :D unless your selling vero items then it gets harder :bump: |
| trilade | 07-02-2011 05:45 AM | Thanks for your answers guys.
The thing is when i tried to identify myself on another PP acc, just couldnt do it, coz i think the bank sent back my info, and it is failed (hsbc)
Thats why im scared a little bit, coz if its fails i have to make phone calls, etc... |
| Stigger | 07-02-2011 09:23 AM | What do you mean she lost her bank details ?
Why has she not been into the bank and asked for them ?
Would she let you use one of her bank accounts ?
Have you had a look to see if she attached one to pp at the time she opend the account ? |
| isitworththestress | 07-03-2011 03:47 AM | So who lives next door now, and what happens to returns? |
| GreenBean | 07-03-2011 03:56 AM | It's not even known if the account is 'good', let alone suggesting using another's bank account.
 |
| isitworththestress | 07-03-2011 04:32 AM | It is simple and could work and the friend has basically already said no to using bank details, as no one looses bank details, which I suppose you can translate into you can use my account but I don't trust you enough to use my bank details. Which is normal
I have seen a similar method used to clean up an address, just not normally next door.
The card would be the only issue, but they could solve that with one of the cards off here that will show what they like.
However I still would like to know who lives next door now and would you really want to cause your friend problems in the future when you can start from scratch and not hurt anyone? |
| oompaloompa | 07-03-2011 05:30 AM | she is very silly, any debts you incur would go to her address.
She has not lost bank details she is sensible enough to say, add your own banks details, however she just has not thought it through, it is not worth it for you or her, particularly as set ups of eb and p are soo simple, keeping an account, now that is harder....make and age a couple yourself. |
| trilade | 07-04-2011 06:02 AM | Thanks for help again.
I never request any returns, so thats not a problem.
Just wanted to ask its possible to make a brand new UK paypal that registered and verified under her name, address, details, etc... I can pay all the ebay fees from that pp account, can send through all my profit to my own paypal, or attach a bank account and withdraw it... |
| Imakemoney | 07-04-2011 06:40 AM | sending payment from one paypal to another is NOT a good idea for withdrawal.
This plan needs a re-think me thinks  |

Again, she would be mad to get involved and you need to take the right road and not involve her, I get distinct feeling that she is not aware of all the issues that could befall her and her account....take it from us and make your own unique acc..search forums, there are alot of different ways of getting a clean address. |

You have already lost one account so you know things can go wrong. So if for any reason this account goes into debt then, ebay will do what it takes to get that money back.
Your friend tries for a job and is knocked back after the company run a credit check on them and see the mess you could end up leaving behind and you no longer have a freind.
Start from scratch, as it is easy enough and you keep your friend. |

I agree with that, bit harsh though. Like thestress says, better and easier to start fresh. Once you have gone through over a dozen accounts it will become very easy to do again.
Even if you have been a great seller, eBay tend to have a bad habit of messing up accounts without warning, and sometimes leaving you owing them money. On a proper stealth account, you have a choice what you want to do about that sort of scenario. :pop2: |
| isitworththestress | 07-05-2011 05:18 AM | Sorry if it sounded harsh but I have seen this situation happen a thousand times, where some friend thinks they are helping and ends up paying for it down the road. Been their myself trying to stupidly help a friend out and ended up with three accounts sitting their with their thousands of feedback and no more use than a chocolate fireguard.
As you say ebay cause no end of problems for sellers and it does seem the wrong option when there are easier alternatives, like starting afresh. |

| trilade | 07-18-2011 08:37 AM | Yes, i know that the best way is to make stealth accounts, but im estimating to sell 1000-2000 items a month and i need to list at least 5000 items. Making stealth accounts with 100 items selling limit a month cant be a sollution. |
| GreenBean | 07-18-2011 08:43 AM | :faint: And what makes you silly enough to think using this account will work?
You are not quite in touch with the current ways of ebay & paypal.
That's a BIG risk. Trust me I deal with users who wanted to do that and were not successful.
Revalue your plan. |
| Imakemoney | 07-18-2011 08:46 AM | trilade you seriously need to do more reading.
GB is right, your plan is floored. just because your using her account you WILL NOT be able to go on and list 1000 items a month on a new account.
Go stealth, spread sales, its the only way you'll get even a 1/10 of the figures your talking about. |
| trilade | 07-18-2011 09:47 AM | as i mentioned before there are no selling limits on her account. thats why i wanna save it somehow |
| GreenBean | 07-18-2011 10:05 AM | Um, it's not the account that needs saving. It's you.
You can not, you should not expect to pick up an ebay account that has been dormant and make it active without an expectation of problems. By virtue of 'touching' the paypal, adding bank accounts, and making whatever changes need, the account is compromised. It is my sincere belief your estimation of such overinflated sales is not achievable.
As it appears to me, you can not grasp this, I withdraw from the thread.
I find it very hard to ban myself when I deal with these challenges.
Good day:doh: |
| meVebay | 07-18-2011 10:08 AM | Just use the account then.
Your obviously not going to LISTEN to any of the advice you've been given.
What will happen in the end, is that you'll have no eBay account, and you'll no longer be friends. Trust me, I've seen it before a million times...friends and money/business do not go together.
