| | | ryanba | 07-14-2011 03:20 PM | A question about postal addresses. Hi,
I've been registered on eBay and PayPal now for 3 months with a completely different address, recently I had 2 really heavy items delivered to my suspended address, but I changed the address and added it as a gift address.
I shortened the address from grove to gr and added a different town name.
My question is, will my account stand?.
FYI - it's been 4 days since I paid for the items and they have both arrived.
I did not want to have to go on a bus to collect them, too much hassle.
Also, would I be able to change my registered address on eBay to my new altered address.
I would prefer items being delivered right to be rather than some where else. |

It may not be now but it will come. It really depends on how close the address looks from the suspended one.
If you are just talking about an address that isnt on file with ebay then there would be no problem. That is what those gift addresses are for. Plus ebay allows for several of them. you just dont want to have any addresses match older locked up accounts is all.
I would get another account going for a backup just in case. |
As KingRay has cleared up for you, should be fine. |
| DEVLAN | 07-15-2011 03:44 PM | Ryanba,
I had 6 stealth account running perfect for over two years. I made the mistake of adding my old suspended address to them when I had some expensive items I needed delivering. I deleted the address off eBay straight away, however PayPal keeps them on file, so eventually they linked them all and I lost the lot.
So DO NOT, under any circumstances, use a suspended address for delivery.
I'll give you a little tip I use. I register a PO Box (made up) as my delivery address, then email the seller (not ebay messages) and say my PO Box doesn't accept parcels and give them my correct home address. This works all the time as often sellers don't like sending to PO Boxes. |
| ryanba | 07-17-2011 11:42 AM | Hi again,
I'm a bit puzzled, the correct version of my address has been suspended, but I've been buying a lot of items with this incorrect version of my address and items are showing up and nothing has happened with either my eBay or PayPal account. |

im surprised that worked... bcoz if u have a po box address on ur ebay and paypal files and then u win something, and then u message the seller saying, oh sorry my po box address doesnt accept mail, please send to ...
wouldnt they say, yes we can send to... but can you first add that address to your ebay/paypal account first, then we will send u ur goods...? |

That is what I would do if they said to me they wanted it sent to a different address. |
