Nothing now. Used be they were called 'golden' or 'grandfathered'. Was a certain amount of invincibilty with them. In the USA, they did mean no paypal

Now ebay just sees them as 'older' accounts which need to earn the right to list. In fact some such accounts get nabbed for ID proof. ebay worries the account might have been hacked.

90 day rule applies to any older eBay account if wasn't made into a sellers account before September 2010

this malarky about old accounts being invincible is rubbish...new accounts are invincible too! it all depends on what you are selling.
